Weird request - Ignition cylinder guide

When i sent out my steering column to get custom made with some gauge pods i had to take off the little black thingy that you stick your key into (key guide for ignition switch?) and i lost it. Anyone have one?

Also, someone stole my "Police Interceptor" badge off of my CVPI last week. Anyone have one of them too?

No it pops of so you can split the column

I dunno if this link will work, but its supposed to be the expanded view of the lock cyl and column trim pieces. It doesn't show the lil black piece being separate.

See whats missing? And you see that you HAVE to take it off to remove the top of the column?

You probably don't HAVE to remove that to get the trim piece off. You can stick the key in (ON position if i remember correctly) and remove the entire lock cylinder with a punch in about 1.7 seconds. That's most likely the proper procedure to also get the column trim pieces off.

If it is supposed to pop off and go back on, why don't you reuse the one you got off of it?

I broke it when I pried it off of the lock cylinder because it is supposed to be all one piece.

Nope. It is not supposed to come off. If you have removed the ignition lock properly, this would not have occurred.
