How is it even possible for your car to need a detailer? I've seen it and it is one of the cleanest out there.

Drove the Marauder to the Ball park to see the world champion Cardinals pound the Prince-less Milwaukee Brewers 13 to 1. After the engine would start as the gear is backing out from the flywheel it did not do so fast enough. Only happened on cold starts, so I cleaned everthing up inside and... well we will see.

Today I realized this thread should really be named, 'What did you do to your car yesterday.'
Yesterday In about 4.5 hours I gave the paint the full treatment for the first time. Broke out the orbital polisher.
I washed, claybared, repaired scratches, polished and sealed the paint.
Holy cow I have never had a car this nice. Looks like that spaceship from episode 1 and it's so smooth it feels like water to the touch. Sorry about the night pic as I worked till dark.

I'm not sure who you were quoting Marsha, but "chattering" from your brakes does not sound normal at all. How is the "feel" of your brake pedal? Is it "crunchy" when you apply pressure?
Marsha

I cried in it....that's right, I just said that. Now, it wasn't a big, blubbering, sobbing outburst, but a few tears did stream down my face. Happened on the way back home after dropping the kids off with the ex. It registered again that I won't see them next weekend (her weekend) and it just hit me like a ton of bricks. This :mad2::censor: really sucks, but at least I get to see them as much as I do. I will get them the following Tuesday for 4th of July stuff, so only have to wait a couple more days than usual to see them again. However, this 'silver lining' wasn't enough to satisfy me earlier tonight.
Have a feeling I'm probably gonna get plowed next Saturday at the TK down in GA....hope you're ready, Brad!

Finally had a leaking rear engine main seal & a "weeping" rear output shaft seal of the transmission :shake: replaced by my trusted local mechanic. Had these issues a few months after purchasing the Marauder last year :dunno: . While the transmission was off the car, the front transmission seal behind the torque converter was replaced as "cheap insurance". I had been checking fluid levels religiously then & will still continue to due so when I pick up the car tomorrow & thereafter, so I can do this;--------->:drive: and :burn: :D . Also had the engine oil & oil filter changed. (using Motorcraft FL820-S filter).

I dont want to go off into a stand of trees or over a curb, so I will have to find a nice wide open space to play.

Wiped it down after the evening storms Friday night, shifted positions in the driveway and drove the Taurus to Maryland. :o
Its a good thing that the wife had the Bradford Pear tree taken down last November 'cause I don't think it would have stood up well to the winds that came through with the storms. Sustained winds of 70-80 MPH in what the news people are calling a "Derecho". Sometimes I think that they make this S#!t up.

Drove wife to Homey Depot today and noticed the A/C wasn't keeping up with the heat at low speeds. When I got home my waif says "what's that noise?" Me being inside the car said "it sounds like someone starting their Powerstroke". The I get out and she says you better listen again, I start it up and after a few seconds it sounds like the bottom end is coming out, then after maybe 30 seconds it stops, Hmmmm, after a little wait it starts again.
I guess my cooling fan took a dump today. But the car ran like a dream. and shined like a B!+ch!!

Sustained winds of 70-80 MPH in what the news people are calling a "Derecho". Sometimes I think that they make this S#!t up.
Derecho is a valid meteoroligical term. Spanish for 'straight',
a widespread and long-lived, violent convectively induced straight-line windstorm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight-line_wind) that is associated with a fast-moving band of severe thunderstorms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderstorm) in the form of a squall line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squall_line) usually taking the form of a bow echo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bow_echo). Derechos blow in the direction of movement of their associated storms, similar to a gust front (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outflow_boundary), except that the wind is sustained and generally increases in strength behind the "gust" front. A warm weather phenomenon, derechos occur mostly in summer, especially June and July in the Northern Hemisphere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Hemisphere). They can occur at any time of the year and occur as frequently at night as in the daylight hours
