My buddy helped me swap the 28 spline setup for the ford 31 spline. Yeah I got the cobra CF clutches. Even tho it felt bad to take out an auburn true track and installing a regular posi.
Now the true track lives on Levi's car.
No more one wheel wonder for him.
Besides the rain it was. Good day.
Gotta make sure the axels don't break when I do the 1.60 60' LOL.

Saturday, Got most of the car back together, put fresh fluids in it,
Amsoil Dominator 5W20
Amsoil ATF
Amsoil Coolant Boost.
GM supercharger oil in the snout.
Installed a NAPA trans cooler.
Found one exhaust leak back by the rear, no water leaks with the DR cooling mod
That Posi Ported Blower is definitely louder.
Today I pull the trans pan and see what I effed up.
Atlanta in 11 days!!

Oh yeah, I installed my Lokar Trans dipstick. WAY easier to deal with filling and checking trans fluid.

boatmangc

Drained the trans Pan, put it back up.
Started the plumbing for the larger I/C reservoir, found out it had a leak at the top fitting, sealed it with a hot glue gun.
Talked to Landy on the Phone about the huge numbers he thinks my motor will make!!:burn:
Started thinking about the detailing!!

-Hopefully my HID kit comes in and I can install it along with LED strip for the trunk light
-Possibly drain tranny fluid and replace

Finally took it for a ride after all the recent mods, other than what sounds like the passenger side header leaking and maybe a few creaks in the rear where I still need to braze the exhaust together. It seems OK.
I didn't really feel much difference with the JMOD though.
But it was a gentle drive.
Since I put it on stands on 8/25 my weekends have been spent doing:
Posi Porting
FRPP shorties and 2 1/2 cobra mid with rear cat delete and free flow cats up front.
JMOD and Amsoil ATF
DR Rear Cooling Kit
Griffin 24X2X6 Heat exchanger
DR Vortech I/C reservoir
Trans cooler
Metco D/S loop
Replaced all the idler pulleys
Lokar trans dipstick

Had been making noise @ 70-80mph since I got it ....And as I came to a stop @ 10-0 mph had a rrrr rrr rrr noise, thought it was axle bearings, did them, months ago nope..... Then thought it was the carrier, and said to myself no big deal, i`ll drive it, and drive it I did, it never gave me a problem..

Well I recently made good friends with my new buddy @ a local tranny shop.. He knows how much I love my baby,as a matter of fact he is the only friend of mine to ever drive it other than me. He says to me the other day (while slow) "go get the car and let me take a look at it"

So up on the lift she went and surprise surprise, I had a broken spider gear, and bad clutches.....So I went to Mercury and ordered the rebuild kit @ cost was 275 plus shipping.....

Got the car back last night " much quieter" and being he also changed out every front end part I had purchased as well....tie rod ends, end links, sway bar links...I had purchased all new Moog stuff months ago and while it was in the air he said bring all the parts you have for the car down..... now I have to track down a good front end guy to determine why i have excessive cupping on my drivers side front tire, it now looks like a snow tire and could very well be the casue of more noise.......

I am stoked, my SB is :burnout: hope we get some dry sunny weather this weekend here on Long Island

Put the SB up on the lift Sunday and wheels off brakes off (still more than 3/4 pads Jon !) then the bearings......hummm well bolts out, then out came the 5lb sledge.... had to hammer and Kroil spray out the bearing assemblies ,seems they didn’t want to go !!

Finally found the compression extension for my leak-down gauge. I will probably be doing a compression test (dry & wet) then do the leak-down test. Figured since the plugs will be out anyways might as well do both so I have more stats to figure out stuff with.

I know I will need to at least replace the valve cover gasket set cause the rubber grommet that sits between the head and cover where spark plug hole is wet oil soaked but wasn't leaking into the spark plug chamber itself on two of the plugs I pulled.

Brought my car to the dealer last time as stock. Asked them to look it over the last time as a N/A stock car. Nice lady at the counter didn't seem too concerned with my request for a detailed engine inspection until I told I was getting a trilogy. :) Especially when I told them it nearly doubles the RWHP.

Hopefully it's not the last time I pass inspection too.

Jerry says no worries, WTF I've got a year of Marauding anyway.

Next up, finally put the rear bumper guards on and get the damage fixed to the rear bumper. NYC really sucks that way.

Am I going to be the only Trilogy with 2 baby seats in the back?

What (nearly)double the RWHP? I'm bone stock right now. The numbers on the site cites

"will increase the horsepower of the stock 4.6L engine from the stock 240 horsepower to over 420 horsepower"
http://www.trilogymotorsports.com/news_events/4W33-030407-AA.php

Looking at some 03/04 posts looks like the numbers have gone up quite a bit. Old numbers were quoted in the 300s. Jerry confirmed it verbally too.

I'm getting it dyno tuned and installed at JDM in December so I guess we'll find out.

If it came back that high, I'd probably tell them to dial it back.

No I'm expecting 420 or so.

Bone stock no mods. I had some mods planned and canned them. No point. Any more power than that and I'll blow it up. Like to keep it for a long time.

Set up an appointment with the body shop to get roof, 1/4 panel, and bumpers repaired and painted.

Paid for my new trilogy jacket. My MM jacket is dead. God's head zipper fell of someplace. Couldn't open it till I found a keyring.

Oh it's not today, but I realized something really cool. Now that they are a limited run Trilogy Marauders are literally 1 in a million. Actually 1 in 1,228,026 to be precise. Even my grumpy wife was impressed with that.

I like the FR500's There is a guy in my area ith a 98 GT with them in black chrome. Nice looking rims.

Yesterday, I greased the front and rear sway bar bushings, end links, checked for header leaks, fixed the exhaust leak from the flange from headers to the mid-pipe, aired up the tires, torqued the lugs, tightened my leaking rear end fill plug, straightened out my muffler hangers, and gave the under carriage a cleaning.

This week the car goes back to the shop to find out why my head tick seems louder then normal and why I'm hearing a slight thump out the exhaust on the drivers side. :(

Drove it for the first time in 2-3 months.

Yesterday I finished installing the KYBs and factory springs, had to replace my front braided brake lines due to rubbing, had the rotors cut, and swapped in a more street friendly brake pad. Satisfied Pro Carbon Ceramic brake pads are rotor eaters and not meant for street use.

Getting an alignment and power brake flush today, then going to bump up the timing for the cooler weather. Then it's back to polishing all the aluminum parts I took off.

I finally got around to mounting my pair of 42 Draft Designs catch cans. It is quite helpful to have a buddy with a speed shop and a machine shop.

They whittled up a pair of brackets to mount the units to the fenderwells, cut the bungs off the cans and welded threaded bungs onto the cans, R&I'd the valve covers, drilled & tapped them for the threaded AN adapters, a relief was also cut for the O ring seals for those adapters.

The PCV was changed out to an inline unit and in now behind the blower, the valve covers got a crinkle coat to match the blower. The hose is XRP, it is designed primarily for fuel on racing applications, while not cheap, it is super flexible, doesn't collapse under vacuum and just looks cool, the bad news, it's $144 a foot.

I picked it up today, and put it away for storage, so I took some quick shots, may do more come spring.

And the pics.......................

You can "delete" the rear set - many have.
If you are going to buy new high flow cats you can get away w/2 but put all of the O2 sensors back in as close to the original positions as possible. Without a blower or turbo I don't thing you really need the new cats unless you think the originals are plugged.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

Finally got a chance to give it a really good exterior detail over the long weekend. Been about 4 months since her last good cleaning, hard working a ton of hours and using the MM as a daily driver.

1 day to wash, 1 day to compound and clay it, and 1 day to rewash and wax it.

Just got back from its first real road trip with the family. 300 miles only, mostly highway driving. Kept it between 72-75, with one burst to about 90 -- was attempting a pass and the person sped up to prevent me (he was driving a sentra). Averaged 19.99 mpg with 3 kids, 2 adults and a trunk full of luggage.

It was a wonderful drive.

Was pissed when I found the scratch someone put in my rear quarter panel. I think it will buff out.

Great Bob. Sounds like you've been busy with your ride......good for you.

Got the itch to mod the Marauder real bad right now, but not much extra dough. Thinking of selling my ATV since I only ride once or twice a year. I think headers, high flow cats, a handling pack from Sparta, an MMX driveshaft, tinted windows and rear spoiler are on tap if I do.......

I must have changed the oil (synthetic) over 10x since we saw each other (every 3+k), walmart is so cheap( like 25 bucks) for mobile1 and motorcraft filter out the door, what the heck....The motor does`nt make a sound, remote start installed too, never driven without a good warm up.

The rear is completely redone with new U-joints as well the front hub bearings.....The posi is again working 110% and with my foot in it, when it shifts gears i get a nice chirp and the rear kicks a tad to the drivers side...

Just wanted to drive today (and listen to my iPOD with "Driving Music).

Came back from my son's 8th birthday party and, just when I got home, my wife told me that we left the cake/knife/etc. at the party.

I said, "No problem" and went out again.

I love driving this car.

Like I've said - I'ts like I'm 17 (NJ license age when I got my license) again - I'll drive anywhere - Just to drive.

The way back home, on a normally gridlocked road, I made every light and had a free lane all the way home.

Can't beat it and on the gas whenever I wanted and passing at will ------> :woohoo:.
