There are a least three drag racing sanctioning bodies, NHRA, IHRA, and AHRA each with their own class structures.

Since I have only drag raced at test-N-tune sessions, classes don't apply.
However, those sessions are at night and my vision has become more limited, also few steet cars show up.

Therefore I would like to race, from time to time, in a non-bracket, heads up class during daylight hours (Sat/Sun).

AHRA has a "Street Challenge" class for both NA and Power Adder equipped vehicles where my car could compete (no cheater slicks allowed). This is heads up racing.

There are prolly other classes but I would not be competitive.

So.....what are some of the non-bracket classes that you drag race drivers participate in?

I try to find some index races during the year myself. They break you into usually .5 sec breaks (i.e. 14.0, 13.5, 13.0) and run you off a pro tree. It's usually a lot of fun, especially if you are close to one of the breaks.

I usually do the NHRA "street eliminator" clas that allows everything. It's the cheapest registration they have.
