I made my first 1/4 mile runs in the MM today.

Best time14.554 @95.46 with a 2.172 60' and .434 R/T! The temp was 80* and the humidity 80%. They told me at the track in the cooler weather expect a .5 - .6 improvement.

Total of 4 runs.

The first I power braked to 2,000RPM and spun all the way thru 1st and into 2nd started going sideways so I backed off and got 16.808 @93.16.

The second run I held the brake lightly with the left foot and floored it and got the best time, 14.554.

The third run I power braked to 1,200 RPM and got 14.627 @94.97.

The fourth run the guy in front of me hit the wall after missing a gear bounced off and hit the wall on the other side head on. He got knocked out but is ok.

I was on the line for 45 minutes being eaten by mosquitos the size of dragon flies. I power braked to 1,000 RPM and got 14.730 @93.91.

The name of the track is No Problem Race Way. It's 55 miles outside New Orleans in the heart of Cajun Country. Private individuals built it in the middle of a sugar cane field. It's first class with grandstand, garages, showers, concessions and a 1.8 miles road course. http://www.noproblemraceway.com/npr/. I had to dodge a raccoon sitting in the road on the way home.

Can't wait till cooler weather.

On my first run I was behind a guy in a Dodge R/T that was modded. His wife asked what I was going to run and before I could answer she looked at me and said you are going to run a 14.50 to night. Guess she knows her stuff.
:D :D :D :D:) :) :)

Watch your 60 foot times. The lower they are, the better you are hooking up and leaving. Ease up on your brake torque? No spin is the best result. Best DR Stage I ET has been 14.2, you're right around the corner...

Thanks for the detailed report. I haven't run my MM yet but I hope to this coming season. I always wondered if people would power-brake at launch (since the stock converter has a stall above 2k).

Congrats and good luck as you chase lower et's.
