The headlight treatment is embarrassing and too ricer-ish.

Cobra wheels?

Why is there a Mercury badge in the middle of the door?

louvers in the hood?

The car just isn't a Marauder any more.

That's a SVT Cobra engine, right? I wouldn't mind having that much power!

The grill is OK, might look better on a Harley truck...

Kevin

Not a big fan of the grill, but the head light is SHARP and rest of the body is just still pretty like the stock MM's. I guess the entire outfit did not come out and grab you like the Trilogy concept vehicle did, but it's always nice to have options. Thx, Dennis for the photos!

More options for the roots style of supercharging, plus a manual tranny!

God, I love it!

Sign me up for the control arms and the paint on that car.

New Tremac shifter but the old non-functioning oil pressure gage???? Want me to build one that works for that car?

I dig the grill.....good thing about that is you could probably get it made so that you can put anything as the emblem in place of the Merc Wave......But the grill looks sweet ....as for the other stuff...cool but not for me....Those tires look sweet though....

That's exactly the grill I've been trying to build myself! I've been having all sorts of trouble finding that woven wire mesh you used for it. I guess now, I'll just wait for you to come out with it. Thanks Dennis for making this stuff! I see from the pics in the gallery, the car has a similiar insert for the openings in the lower bumper. Will you be selling those as well?

Cobra wheels? Guess again, there custom made

Why is there a Mercury badge in the middle of the door? beccause he likes that way the cars name is the night stalker and to me it looks good

louvers in the hood? yes there there they look dam good

The car just isn't a Marauder any more. Astute observation

Very cool... love the grille combo. Sign me up for the grille combo & control arms.

BTW, obviously an extreme amount of hard work and time went into making this car what it is. Although some of us may not agree with a few styling mods, remember to show some respect. "If you don't have anything nice to say, DON'T SAY IT."

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don't impede on someone else's pride & joy.

Oh yea, one other thing... Dennis already said the wheels are custom built pieces, and I'll say that they obviously bear NO resemblence to Cobras... they're Magnum 500's.

six speed is awesome...I hope this stuff is around when my warranty expires...for me it will be take alum block and auto out and store...then replace with a iron block bored and stroked with vortech...full length headers...six speed...4.56s...265s in the back...and a bleacher rear spoiler with 2 coffee cans...JK on the last two...

Kevin, those do not appear to be Cobra wheels. They look more like the wheels used by GM and Chrysler in the late 60s and early 70s. Very nice (and may I say, Classic American touch!!).

I have a set of wheels on my 67 442 that look similar to those on this MM. They were called Super Stock I wheels by Olds.

Oh, and, my 67 442 has louvers in the hood. Not only do the louvers look damn good, they are factory; designed and built in the USA.

Bob

PS-beautiful car. I especially like the converted transmission!

Kevin, this is the SSI wheel on my 442. Notice the similarity to the SEMA Marauder. Rice looking? Definitely not. Rice cars don't come with wheels that look this good.

I feel the wheels look more like the Mach 1's http://www.mach1registry.com/photos/mach%201%20rims.jpg Do we have a price on the manual?

SergntMac

Magnum 500s were a classic look in the '60s, used on FMC, Chrysler and GM products, and as popular as Cragar SS wheels. What a compliment, eh?

They do kind of but notice that the wheel looks like chromed steel versus the aluminum used on the Mach I. Also, notice the slots that match the wheel on the Olds. I still think it resembles the classic wheel much more than the Mach I wheel (although both are really sharp!!)

Are the wheels Chromed steel or polished aluminum? the center cap looks like it's from the '67 Cougar styled steel wheels

The grille is not bad, bt I think it would be better without the badge.

Only thing about mesh like that is it has become "trendy" it's being used on Jaguars and the upcoming Cadillac CTSV

Been looking at this a while to gather my thoughts. The 1st thing that comes to mind is great technology and advancements with the motor, tranny, rear control arms, etc. As far as the looks go - all I can say personally is "To each his own."

11-19-2003, 03:43 PM
I could do without the headlights. Like the manual though. The red control arms stick out way too much from the rest of the car. Ugly rims. Sweet Grill. And from some other pictures I've seen I didn't like the cheapy "Street Stalker" stuff near the cd player. But other than that! Niiiiice ride.

Dennis Reinhart

Well, Dam since every one wants to nit pick the car to death, let me get my two cents in here, the car is immaculate, Lets see any of you take the entire dash/interior out of the car install a clutch pedal along with a Tremac six speed, and have look like it came from Ford. Paul took a complete 03 Cobra Mustang Drive train and installed it, and it looks like it was made for the car, NO ONE has raved on about that, all several of you have done is talk about the headlights wheels and grill, well that is up to the individual buyer/owner of the car, in this case Paul and he likes the look. So at least pay the man the compliment of doing WHAT NO ONE ELSE HAS DONE. Put a drive train in the car that should have been done from the factory. He had Sony install as 6000.00 stereo it was awesome, I have looked at other Marauder owners cars out at Ennis, have I posted what I thought about some of there Mods to the body NO, the reason is I respect every ones right to do with as they want with THERE car. Again every one has a right to express there opinion on this car, but to me there has been a little to much tunnel vision here.

Yeah, the car rocks, Dennis--saw it myself in person at SEMA. I would like the grille in black, also. With a black-chromed badge (which apparently is a big deal to get done to a plastic badge). Any word on pricing/availability of the grille, or was that just a one-off for SEMA?

Problem with the internet is it is currently one demensional.

People were commenting on what they saw which was the pics.

I see alot of visual mods that people make that I admire because of the creative effort and the professional execution, but I would not put it on my car.

I admire and appreciate jewlery but I don't wear any, (as a child I collected semi-presious stones)!

ps I will take Paul's car over mine any day!:) :)
