I finally go the Accel COPs in the mail today! 118k on the old COPs. All the way from Iceland! Bought it off ebay; $289 on summit paid $150 shipped. I clicked the bid button without looking where they were shipping from but all good...LOL

Installed them and drove around for a little bit started raining:mad2: The car starts much faster, idles smoother and a lot better throttle response. I am going to get her a new tune as well soon as I can get scheduled.

you were haveing and ignition issue as wellwrnt you?

yup...going to another tuner and throw it on the dyno then do another tune. thats the plan for now anyways.

I hope they work out well for you. As an added upgrade Granatelli sells "O-Ohm" solid cop connectors with a EMI ring. These would go well with your new cops. I have them installed (as do many others here)

Did you use the di-electric grease?

PS: Anyone know if the new Mustang 5.0 will fit in our MMs? Will the hood fit - the heads seem to be much smaller then ours.

Yup Permatex on all 8 COPS...

I'll have to check out those Granatell's but the boss says no more money on my cars for a while:bigcry:

So all I can do is headers and tune and that's all....

Seriously though feels like a new car and pulls stronger...I dunno maybe in my head....

After a week of driving since changing out the COPs w/Accel COPs the car is just night and day even with a questionable tune. The old COPS tops looked a little warped some plugs had creases in them (no doubt from the installer throwing everything in a box while the motor was out) It is even more enjoyable to drive now:D Acceleration is awesome and doesn't feel like it dips or falls flat like it did. Idling doesn't miss/drop rpms like it used to. Oh did I mention smokey burn outs are even longer LOL If mamma will let me FRPP shorty headers and a new tune....oh tax season cant come fast enough!
