I recieved a call from Brian White tonight. He wanted to let me know that he will not make the car show that was scheduled for Sunday afternoon because of a fire at his home. After a couple of minutes of conversation it became clear this was a major tragedy. He lost his mother, dogs, and just about every thing he owned in the fire. Brain and Nat are fine and staying at a hotel in Waldorf. It's a horrible situation. I don't have all the details but I am sure he will need assistance. Brian asked me to post. I am not sure if he has a computer or a internet connection. I am going to call them tomorrow to check in.

This is just awful news. Our prayers go out to Brian and Nat and if there is anything Paula and I can do we will do our best to help.

I am reading this now in shock and disbelief. Brian introduced us to his Mom a few weeks ago. What a great lady she seemed to be. Outgoing and a wonderful sense of humor. Kinda like Brian. And those dogs. Brian and Nat loved them so. My heart goes out to both of them. They are two special reasons why we enjoy this site and we enjoy them even more in person. There just aren't words enough.

I am speechless and all choked up.... To think with all that going on, that Brian thought enough of our MM.Net family to let us know, through Mark. Brian and Nat are two very special people. My thoughts are prayers are with them. God Bless you both.

I had no idea. :( How awful for Brian and Nat. Thoughts and prayers on this terrrible occurence. I saw the news report about yesterday's fire on Accokeek Road but didn't realize that it was his place. Condolences to Brian and his family.

Got a call from Haggis and Ladyhawke this afternoon. They were heading over to check in on them. Seems in addition to the tragic loss of life, they've lost their belongings in the fire. My heart, sympathy and well wishes go out to Brian and Natalie. Standing by to see what I can do to help. Deeply sorry for your loss guys.

1 person dies in Accokeek house fire

ACCOKEEK, Md. - One person is dead after a house fire in Accokeek, and firefighters say they had a hard time reaching the location because of the snow.

Firefighters from Prince George's and Charles counties responded to the fire Saturday afternoon. One woman was found inside the home and was pronounced dead. Officials are withholding her name until identification is confirmed by the medical examiner.

Six family pets, 5 dogs and 1 cat, also died in the fire. Another dog and a rabbit survived.
The fire caused $150,000 in damage, displacing two family members.

Prince George's fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the winter storm and snowfall made driving conditions hazardous. The fire is being investigated

Ok iPod working... we would like to thank everyone for all the prayers . As of right now we have enough clothing. Between family and some local friends we have alot of clothing and food gift cards. Will make use of them once we find a dwelling. we are starting tuesday to look for somewhere to stay . Our landlord took care of a hotel till Saturday for us. like I said thank you all and we will keep you updated. We promised Merc we would email him and we will soon.

I wish you were close to me in address for I would offer a place to stay until you were able to get another of your own.

Money is always tight but a warm roof over your head and food on the table I would be more than willing to offer.

I hope someone can do the same where you live!

I'm sincerely sorry for your losses. While I've never been in your shoes, I'm sure that it is difficult. My thoughts are with you and yours.

I also know that it's a good way away from where you're living, but i have a 2 bedroom mobile home in Knoxville, TN, that you're welcome to. It's not furnished, but I'm sure we can get you some stuff in there soon.
