does anyone on here have some slight waves in the front and rear bumper covers? seems like under the headlights is some sag, and under the tailight corners. had the similar prob with the rear bumper in my mustang, but i just stuffed a 2 x 4 under there and called it a day. does anyone know of a fix for this without getting new bumpers and besides 2 x 4's? thanks

Same problem, I'd imagine it's from the bumper cover acting as a parachute at any reasonable speed. I see you already have a Pro-Guard though, so that makes me really reconsider purchasing one...

Are you talking about on the sides? Mine was rippley on the sides between the wheel wells & rear bumper and you could see a couple bulges on the opper corners. Turns out there were some broken mounting tabs causing it to sag.

its like on the corners of the rear bumper right under the tail lights. my brother has an MM so i was comparing them yesterday and my gap under the taillights is a lil bigger. the front seems to be just under the headlights. i always thought they sagged from hot and cold temps for 7 yrs. but it could be from highway speeds for 7 years as well. i installed the pro-guard a little over a year ago. didnt notice much of a diff just peace of mind i guess.

Noticed this also on ours in the same spots. I thought maybe some support brackets could be fabricated. I haven't had a chance to get under and check for mounting points. Once the weather warms a bit this was on my list of things to look into.

Yeah any of the original covers I have seen on the rear, have had some pretty bad waves and sag. The only reason my rear cover doesn't (yet) is it is a new OEM replacement after it got hit in a parking lot.

These bumper covers are laugably poorly supported from Ford. You can see there were some definite short cuts putting these cars together to cut cost

This is a common issue with all MM's (if you used the search function you'd know that :D). The bumper covers are heavy and the attaching points are few so you have sagging. Some have fixed this with aluminum strips and extra screws but you'd know that if you used the search function.............

What's with all the drama:dunno:. I was just adding to the thread that we have the same issue. I did not ask anyone for advice or how to repair the bumper. I know how to use the search function and often do. perhaps you need to relax a little :pill:

search FTL

why even respond to a thread if your only input is a report from the search police?

Back on topic, my rear bumper cover also has waves in it, just behind the rear wheels. Looks like ass, but matches the horrible paint and the side-to-side ride height differences:D
