I'm still annoyed.
Was doing a search for Marauder stuff today and came across the following thread.

Guy apparently has some mods because even though the Nissan Titan is the current "hot rod" of trucks, Motor trend lists the current model at:
317 hp
385 ft-lb
0-60 in 7.5 seconds
5,,297# curb wt.

Pretty even match and that's for the newer model.
Older models were rated 305 hp.

Plus, I spanked one not long after I bought mine, completely stock.
So, if you run into any Nissan Titans, show no mercy!:rolleyes:

I smoked my friends Titan without a convertor and a dyno tune. Stock for stock the titan may be a handful in a drag race. Add a tune with 4.10s and they are no longer a issue.

Nothing against the TITAN or even the Toyota Tundra(styling-wise) but i find it absolutely hilarious when these goofy import truck guys talk about the "REAL MOTOR'S" they have which were non-existant before they(Toyota and I believe Nissan??) purchased a 30 year old V8 block design from GM lol:beer:

Interesting older thread from the Titan site. I read the whole thing, waiting for the rain to stop.

There were a couple of Marauder apologists that posted up, that was nice, they shared good info.

I'm trying to discern if the Marauder driver was one of the North Texas Marauder members. Heck in 05 we were all old, (just kidding). I'm assuming the car was black.

The description of the Marauder driver by the Titan driver was not very complimentary, called him a "goon", a "nasty old goofball", akin to a road hog in search of a life.
That doesn't sound like anyone in the NTM club. Also the fact of revving up his motor doesn't sound like something an NTM member would do.

Revealing to know that other people think the tranny is our weak spot. They were correct in assessing the fact the car is underpowered and should have had either an S/C or a much bigger engine.

I've never given much thought to large trucks being quick off the line, misconception on my part.

I would definitely be embarrassed if a 2X or 4X big truck, whatever brand, smoked me. I would have to disembowel myself right there on the side of the road.

I got absolutely destroyed by a then brand new F-150 when i was in my caprice with only the 5l and they was throughly embarassing, but it caused me to look at Ford more then before and 4 months later i found my MM and its been Bye-Bye Bowtie ever since! :burnout:

Dont know anything about the Titan but I do know my Dodge seems about as fast (if not faster) than my MM!I know quite a lot as I drive Mr. Man's Titan from time to time. Nice truck....and I admit that he's given me a run for my money in the Marauder, especially right off the line. :o But I'd take him for sure on a half mile track.:burnout:
