Hello all! I first became interested in the MM when I first started college and was driving a '94 Crown Victoria LX. Saddly, they were new and out of my price range. But once I graduated back in 2008 and had steady income, believe me, I started looking!

One of the first things I found out during my research was the scarcity of the car and that buying one would almost certainly mean having to travel quite a ways to make a purchase. I had almost resigned to this (and was making plans to look at a 2004 model up in Detroit) when this beauty showed up at a Chevy dealership hardly 10 miles from my house:

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/1008/marauder.jpg (http://img522.imageshack.us/i/marauder.jpg/)

It was a 2003 model with one previous owner and barely had 41,000 miles on it. I test drove it and immediately fell in love with the handling and much improved acceleration over my previous car. I managed to beat the salesman down about 3K on the price, drove it home last Friday, and the rest, as they say, is history.

So it should go without saying at this point that I'm a newcomer to the MM community. I'm hoping to learn a lot here about the various aspects of the car and performance modifications. I may be young, but I don't have a problem taking advice from those with more experience (ie everyone).

I look forwards to my time here and hope to get the most out of the ownership experience!

Welcome Rifle Man. and dont worry your not the only 23 year old with a MM. I go to school out on the east coast and just recently bought a 2003 black MM with 42,6XX on the odometer, and I love it. You'll find plenty of great things to learn about your car on this site like I did, and start modding out your ride, like I did.

I really enjoy these newbie stories. Reminds me of me 2 years ago, when I was 22 and i got my MM. You couldn't have made a better choice, glad you were able to knock off a few bucks on the deal too, I had to pay full sticker for mine but with 38,xxx and 5 other car salesmen with active customers asking about my deal I had no choice. Enjoy the your new ride.

Welcome. Another hoosier here now?

I've been meaning to get back to Indy someday and say hi to my parents. I was tempted with the last Marauderville.

Believe me, I "boilered up" last night after we got the W in B-town! Work's been slow today so I lucked out.

But a theme song, eh? Jeez, this could get interesting! For me, the obvious choice would be Van Halen's (or Hagar's for you Dave fanatics) "Right Now." I shall spare you all the story!
