I am going to change the rear gear in my car to a 4.10 or 4.30. Anyone on here done so and how much difference did it make? I will have a gear swap, tune and a shot of nitrous until bigger changes are made..Thanks

If you are used to the Fox body in your signature, you better go with a 4.30 and say a 300 shot of gas.

IMHO.... 4.30's will suck for any type of highway driving. Many MM owners have taken their 4.30's and gone with 4.10's.

4:10 gears and a tun will make a big difference over stock. Still very streetable, you'll run about 2,300 rpm at 70 mph in OD.

Yeah, my Mustang runs low 7's at nearly 200mph on 10.5" tires. It has a all aluminum, dry-sump, yates headed small block with 2 stages of nitrous. It made 960hp on motor and has 2-350hp shots of nitrous.
I would like to get the Marauder to run 12's just to have fun driving to work every now and then and on weekends. It only ran a 15.3 when I ran it......LOL

Gears and a tune will get you down into the 14's. Supercharging will getyou into the 12's and really give you some fun driving the car.

the Fox looks impressive. More pictures would be in order.

Meanwhile, these Marauders are land yachts and can not be made fast.

We could only get mine to do a 9.67 @ 141.

Yeah, but, I bet you could get that lower with a midget or horse jockey at the wheel... :D

4.10 gears is the way to go for street and strip duty.

I've got the 4:30s & they only semi-suck. Stay with the 4:10 on the Juice.

Jason;

You oviously know more about race cars and things that make them work than the average bear.

So what your asking is how does one make a 4400 lb car go fast on the street.

Supercharge it. The only mod you need.

He^^^^^^^^ is correct there/here!!-

I tried 430's for a month--really didn't like them for street/highway use-

They made more noise. more gas and really were more whine that none from the 410s----went back to the 410's--no noise and those are really the gears for the MM--they along with a supercharger, tune will get you into the 12's and also be street fun sleeper too..... more like me if that is what you are looking for....vs....that of Martyo's..which is more a track use car.

Mine's got 4.10s, a Lidio tune, and a JLT intake. You're welcome to come take a ride or drive in it if you want to see a difference. Those took my car from the mid 15s to a 14.2. If I had it to do over again, I would probably leave the gears alone. It is fun to drive though, and it will break the tires loose in a way that the stock combo never will.

As stated previously - NO 4:30s in a MM - they just don't work well. You will be pleased with the 4:10s.

Save your money on installing spray and go directly to a SC - its the only way to go if you are serious about racing and speed.

4.10s with some 255/50-16 drag radials, effective rear gear ratio = 4.51 if you are still NA. What is your current mod list?

I'm at 13.72 with not many mods, 3500 stall, stock 3.55 gears and 16" drag radials. Hoping to have my 4.10s in before Sunday test and tune starts next month but this snow isn't helping anything.

It ran a 15.3@94mph 5 times in a row on a Friday night test session. I don't have any mods yet, all bone stock....LOL

Tune, intake, 4.10s, 3500 stall converter should be good for low 14's high 13's. I would hold off on juicing the motor, just do all of the bolt-ons and see where you are at then if 12's are still your goal throw a little juice at it.

id do just that as well with the exception of the 3500 stall. 3500 is just too much it gets really annoying especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust. id do a 3k if i were to do it again.

It's too much for 4.10's too - what's your 1/4 mile time?

I ran a 14.02 with 3.73's and a ~2800 stall PI (stock exhaust too)
