2 part post Rev limiter @ 1-2 shift and OASIS

1. What is OASIS?

2. Took car out for a spin today (currently in winter storage.) I hit the rev limiter between the 1-2 shift on several occasions. Is this normal? I saw over 6,200 r.p.m.

Roads were dry, car is stock except for Meg's resonator delete tips and FIPK CAI kit.

Car is a 2003 Blue MM, 70,000 miles.

Im not sure what the abbreviation of OASIS means but its basically the history of the vehicle, Its a bit more in depth then your typical carfax info.

Sometimes Ill bump off the limiter if I spin off the line, let off and then get back in it. Heres a video of what Im talking about.

Otherwise from a standstill with traction, it shifts fine.

It is 100% normal to bump the rev limiter when its cold outside.
The car is making more power, revving up faster the the pcm will not command the shift soon enough.
The only way to remedy this (for all seasons) is to raise the rev limiter by about 200rpm's.

Zack, temp here today was -5 degrees Celsius, I'm in Ottawa Canada so it is cold but it was such a nice sunny day and roads were nice and clean so I couldn't resist going for a spin.

Once I decide on a tuner I'll raise the rev limiter. Still working in my to do list for this ride.

I have the carfax and I know there was vandalism (damage) reported, no other major issues on Carfax and the previous owner disclosed that to me. Will be interesting to see the OASIS.
