View Full Version : what would be your favorite color????

Hey all! I bought the DTR MM 2 weeks ago. I also loved the silver birch color, thought the black was fierce looking and although blue is my favorite color, could not warm up to the the particular shade of blue that LM chose for the MM at all. I would be very curious as to what your favorite color choices for the MM would be if you could pick your color based on what you liked best as opposed to what was available at the time of your purchase. I would go-1-DTR, 2 silver birch, 3 always cool black and 4 blue. My DTR MM has the two-tone flint and dark charcoal interior. I think the all dark charcoal interior would be really sharp with the rich burgandy color, but one wasn't available at that time. How would you rate the colors from most desirable to least desirable??

I am DTR, Blue, Silver, Black.
I've had 2 black cars with black interiors and I was definately in the mood for anything except black. I have the DTR with the light gray interior. It was the right choice for me.
I love the blue. jrzygirl and I have decided to mate our MMs and end up with a deep eggplant metallic.
I like the silver because the black accents sets off both the silver and black aspects.
I do very much like the black but I just couldn't do it again.

I haven't seen the new MM colours on the road, but I'm always drawn to black. The only thing that makes me waver is that black is the hardest to keep looking clean. If the blue was a navy it would be second choice.
Black,Silver,Red,Blue.
Any color that kicks Chevy a$$ like I saw all day today!!!!

It's called DARK Blue Pearl metallic, and it is very DARK. In photos that are not taken in bright light it actually looks black. Maybe you meant that you prefer non-metallic navy blue. The Dark Blue Pearl is a slightlly purplish hue, but I think it's beautiful. So my list is:
1. Blue
2. All the others (tie)

2. Bright Red
3. Competition Orange

RedMM, Agent M79,
I have DTR w/Light Flint interior also.
Second choice Black w/Light Flint
Third choice Silver Birch w/Light Flint.
Since the stand alone clock was deleted on the 2004, I think the eye-catching prominence of the dot matrix trim across the full width of the dash panel is "toned down" by the Light Flint.
However, any color choice is strictly subjective.
The most important choice, of course, is the MM.
Any MM is clearly an outstanding choice.

All right, you drew me into this thread. We got blue because it is my wife's favorite color and youcan actually tell what color it is without needing a million watt light striking the car to realize that it is BLUE. Since this car may be mostly driven by my wife, any more questions? HeHe!
Now if Ford had offered a dark green and a tan interior, I would have suggested that combo to my wife.
Net, Net -- Blue, DTR, Silver, Black based on what FORD has offered.

I think we need to petition Ford to produce a Mystichrome Marauder just like the 04 Cobra version. That would be an incredible color for a car like the Marauder!

This car would look good in almost any color (maybe not Mary Kay Pink). I love the looks of the black, but if I were buying a 2004, I would get a red or silver just to have something that was different. But as an earlier respondent said; the main thing is the Marauder itself; they're all cool, and they're all rare.

My opinion:
1) silver birch/ dark charcoal
2) dark toreador red/ dark charcoal
3) black/ dark charcoal
4) blue/ dark charcoal
5) silver birch/ light flint
6) dark toreador red/ light flint
7) black/ light flint
8) blue/ light flint
BTW if Ford continues with the "new paint color every months" routine, the dark charcoal grey could be the next one ( it is available now on the 2004 Crown Victoria Sport.
IMHO, If the they made 1 Mary Kay Pink Marauder, that one would be worth collecting.

I've got DTR and I like it....it looks better in person than it photographs. I really liked blue, but acted too slowly. Silver's bland for my taste and black's awfully hard to take care of.
Black Cherry would be nice - so would the Redfire we use on Expeditions. In the past, Ford has also offered a light sea green (Aston Martin's version of BRG - as seen in pics of late '50s DBR1s) that might look nice, too.

Silver's my favorite. This is my third silver car in a row. However, I think the Mineral Grey Ford has would look pretty good on this car.
