I just want to say that the Mercury Marauder crowd is all good in my book.

Everytime I see one on the highway/road I usually look over and give  and say "nice ride"

Well, we like nice folks like you too-and you seem the type that would fit in just fine with us with that kind of attitude--so go take a test drive----see for yourself why we have a grin on our faces all the time......fine one on a lot----it's there waiting for you ..good luck.....Tom

Oh yeah--you got questions --we got answers--someone here always has an answer...and they're straight up ones you can count on--- you'll see----so get going--start writing down where to start calling on those dealers---just drive it and then come back here to ask questions--cause the dealer won't know--trust me on this one ,, for sure---.....Tom...

w/everything that's been said, and let me also add that one of the cool things about this board, and about the Merc Marauder is that there are owners of these cars as well as members here who span all ages from 17 yrs old, to 70 yrs old. The interest in this car simply bridges all age barriers.

I was in the market for a new car a while ago.
Picked up a new Lexus in June.

I wanted the Marauder, but I'm only 21 so I chose to buy a car that I could mess around with - turbo wise (2JZ engine)

When I will be looking for a car after I'm 25 or so - the Marauder will be it. I figure the after-market will be stable and I'll have "proven" mods.

I never thought of it in those terms, but you're right! The age span makes the conversations livelier!

Sorry to disappoint you, goldark, but none of us here would dare mess with our Marauders! Nope, no sir...

yeah..... we spend all that money for a car - we expect it to be perfect right from the dealer. Wewouldn't want to void our warranty.

oh; and the youngest person on the board is Slowpoke Jr - he is only 6½ months old.

Well, barring anything unexpected, my Marauder should be arriving sometime this week! I absolutely can't wait for it to arrive, and as long as everything goes smoothly, I can't wait! I can't believe Ford is offering 0% financing for 72 months on the 04's.........

Thanks for the welcome. My dealer won't let me complete the paperwork until the car arrives, but I did sign an intent to purchase form along with my downpayment for it. They called me earlier today and said it might arrive as early as Monday. They said that since they have to complete the PDI on it, along with having the paint and underbody sprayed with a rust inhibitor coating, I may not get it till Wednesday or Thursday. They were unable to process the credit application because Ford Credit was closed, but I don't see that being a problem since i've had no problem getting 0% financing in the past for my past vehicles. I'll be trading in my 03 Land Rover Discovery for it...........

Junehhan,

Very stressful indeed . . .

My Marauder was trucked from the Windy City to SC. I waited all day on Saturday, Aug 9th, and she was delivered on 12:15 AM Sunday morning to my driveway!
