I didn't have my best showing at SSH9, but managed to overcome this situation and bring home second place in my class. When running brackets, experience wins most of the time. That's why Paul is the King of N/A. Martin wins because cash is king. Sherman, Chris, and I have more track time then most on this site. Don't play with fire Pops because you might get burnt. :flamer: PS: Watch Pass Time Wednesday night at starting at 9:00 P.M. See ya at the races.

Hope to have it ready for Sept.

I will have 30 10 second passes before you are legal.

Hey Merc I like fire! When it comes time for us I would like a good old heads up race! If all goes well either car will give you a bad time. Bolt is working on a couple of more tricks just for you! I hope to playing in the 10.90 class at Atlanta with the Mercury. That will be a tough place to play you can bet!;) Trash talk is fun!!!:flamer:

High 500's or low 600's with some weight reduction and a roll bar if you are serious. Stock motor will go boom if your run it at those levels.

New alum 4V 4.6 block,bored/honed .002 w/deck plates,Kellog stock stroke forged steel crank,Manley H-beam rods,Diamond pistons dished for 9.3-1 comp w/valve reliefs,Moly file fit rings-rods-main brgs all balanced,Melling oil pump w/billet gears. CNC port 4V heads multi angle valve job,Ferrea S/S std dia valves, hi pressure Crower springs & ti retainers,Bronze guides & flo tested, GT super car cams,Fel Pro MLS head gaskets,ARP 2000 head studs. New timming components, gears, chains, guide shoes,ch tensioners. All bolted together w/valve covers, windage tray, pick up & oil pan.... Sent intake manifold out to Extrude Hone & ordered a 8 rib pulley set up.... Thanks to Dennis Reinhart for his advice. ....Tom Kasper @ Kaspers Korner in Gloucester Twp, NJ. will be doing the install & the hard work of setting it up for me. No one else touches the car so that will tell what i think of Tom... IAM HAPPY.

Looks like he has a motor, maybe a little low on boost. The important part is does he know how to launch the car and what type of tires is he running. We will find out soon, best of luck to you.

Somehow I thought you would say that. That's why a Whipple 2.3 is what I picked. Very street able with good race habits. 600 rwhp is my goal and that's very obtainable with the current setup. Now I have to save some funds for the TH400 conversion you are offering. Send me a P.M on cost and projected time. Oh, do you accept food stamps. C-clip eliminators are important also. Which should I do first?

Might want to look at a 98 cobra front cover Mark. Otherwise you will probably have tensioner problems/breakage issues. With the 98 cover you can put on the Ford steel Racing three bolt tensioner on. Mine has held up perfect to date. Then again, I do not know if there is a difference with a Whipple with the tensioner. Remember that I am a red-headed step child Procharger guy. Just a suggestion. Good compression ratio as well. Zack is right though, need more boost.

Jflave got the car back from the Dyno, on 93 octane for the street it made 565.8 and 477 RWT,Race gas. He made 604.2 RWHP and 509.9 RWT. I would say with a set M/T he will be to mid low tens, its nice to see what can be done over the phone, we have never met, I had Ron Hobart build the engine, he has only a Novi 1200, my kit with a HPX in a blow through 80 lb injectors 410 PI converter Kooks headers. If John upgrades latter to a Novi 2200, the car will make much more, Tom Kasper installed the kit, John has a car he has always wanted, thank you John for allowing me to help.:beer::beer:

I guess jflave's setup will make about 530rwhp at most.
Didn't pick up the MM till late last night, DYNO sheets on the seat, it made Max power=604.2 Max torque=509.9. Not bad for a NOVI 1200SL. I got to get back to work. :)

I am not far from taking a shot at the 10s. A few issues are getting corrected right now on the car. A new set of slicks will also be in order before I try again. We are still using the street tune and think it will make if I can get some traction. Then its on to the 110 octane tune. I only need a quarter of a second to make it and I think that is in the first 60 feet with some traction!:burnout:

I will get it done! The problem right now is its boating season here in Michigan. That wraps up after Labor Day. I will be playing with cars after that.

10's in the Flathead would impress the crap out of me. As for either the Merc or the T-Bolt, you'll get it done sooner than later.
