I lost power to the radio ,heat control, and head liner compass. The problem seemed to have started when shifting from park to drive or reverse. all the fues seem to be fine any thoughts???
I would check from power at the fuse if none. I have seen many times where the power wire from the battery junction block will corrode and break.
Find the fuse thats blown. Its the one you overlooked.
Then you may have to take the console out to check for interference with the wiring and shifter.

I don't think its a fuse, because it was an intermitent problem at first . Everything was fine until shifting, but now -nothing ,do you know if the main consol electric is relayed to a trans safety switch ? I can shift the trans in an out of grear without having my foot on the brake peddel ? is that normal. I just bought the car ,it has an after market stereo with a DVR.

Do any of the steering wheel controls work correctly? The horn? I had a similar issue on my 2003 300A, and it was the clock spring.

Check the fuses in the fuse panel and the box under the hood.

I'm experiencing a similar problem right now, (I haven't researched it much yet) no turn signal, no hazards, no horn, and no seat belt warning in the dash display. What the heck is a clock spring.

The clock spring is a flat ribbon wire that wraps around the steering column and
connects the steering wheel buttons to the connectors in the top of the column.
When disassembled looks like the spring in your lawn mower pull start retractor or
a spring in the old clocks/watchs hence its it is refered to as a clock spring.
It is a ***** to rewind and will frequently rub through causing your airbag light to come on. must be aligned correctly during installation-
to prevent binding when turning the steering wheel

Probably a ground from the dash to somewhere on the firewall-
often a stud on the firewall- suggest drivers side or someone
has connected a ground for the stereo(maybe behind the stereo?)
to the stud and not tightened properly.(inside under dash..)
the ground maybe causing the column shifter lockout not to operate
properly (a backfeed of current)

Does this chaffed "clock spring" also affect the seat belt warning in the dash display, and how much do they cost.
