Trunk Organizer Question

When I took delievery of my MM there was a box in the trunk containing the trunk organizer. I figured out everything except for a piece of foam with cutouts. It does not seem to fit inton place either direction and was wondering if anyone knew what it was for and where it goes.

If it's what I think it is:
Mine was in a box as well. It came with a black, rubbery (sorta) sticky foam pad that just lays flat in the floor of the organizer - before you put in the dividers. It helps to keep things from sliding around.

I figured it was to put along the bottom but it's smaller than the organizer by 8 or 10 inches. And too long if I rotate it 90 degrees. It also has cut-outs a little larger than the organizer lid handles. A real engineering goofup if not for an entirely different purpose.

You're right, it doesn't cover the whole bottom and the cut outs are way too big, but it was the only way I could make it work or make any sense of it.

Maybe it was one of those "throw it in at the last minute" deals.

I was kinda surprised that my dealer didn't go ahead and "install" the organizer, by the way. Makes me feel a little better that yours didn't either. Also thought it strange that it came with NO instructions or docs whatsoever...
