I just removed mine with a hammer and a small chisel. 10 minutes tops.

Can someone explain to me what these "flags" are?
Thanks.

The flags are how the factory ensures the front end is aligned properly. Do do an alignment you have to remove the flags so you can access the bolt heads. A BFH works wonders.

how do you figure? You align turning the excentric (sp?) washers under the bolts of the lower control arms (that the flags are tack welded to) All the MMs are the same.

Yeah, they're just spot welded on.
A cold chisel and a hammer woud cut the first spot weld , then just pry it off.
Or just leave em on and buy cheap front tires like I do.

Actually it's a Grand Marquis, I thought I had that in my sig. I'll add it now to avoid confusion in the future.

i've heard there was an aftermarket adjustment part that could be installed in place of the flags...is there any truth to this?
