Please someone help i was about to change my transmission when i noticed a minor leak in the front part of the trans. Its not a bad leak but a slow leak. an to the rear of the trans theirs fluid leaking their to. what can be the cause of this? any ideas anyone?.
Front leak if coming out of the bellhousing may be a torque converter seal could just be a bad seal or the lip on the torque converter is scored damaging the seal. The leak if at the rear of the trans where the drivshaft goes in is the tail shaft seal could be just a bad seal or damaged tail shaft bushing allowing the drive shaft to move too much damaging the seal.

rear main seal if its brown. front pump seal if its red. red fluid at rear of tranny is your tailstock seal.
