It's about the best and closest thing I have found to having a Sync system in our cars.
Voice operated & touch screen and a ton of features. Here is the link to the unit and a video link to it's features.

Crutchfield said they will give me the stearing wheel control hook up and rear view camera for free along with the wiring harness to just plug iinto the stock wiring so no cutting and crimping will be needed.
You need to look at the Pioneer AVIC Z110 BT.

BTW do you know if the color can be changed in the Pioneer to match our dash like the Kenwood one does?

Yes you can.
Here is a comparison of the 2 units.
http://signature.crutchfield.com/App/Product/CompareTo.aspx?g=182350&cc=01&compareItems=01|130AVIC110&compareItems=01|113DNX9140
Differences I see between the 2
Pionier vs Kenwood
Watts: 14 vs 22
Preamp: 6 channel vs 7 channel
Equalizer bands: 7 vs 13
Sound shaping: None vs Sound countrol DSP
wirless remote: No vs Yes
Flip down face: manual vs motorized
USB: rear vs rear x2
Radio data system: No vs Yes
radio sensativity: 9dbf vs 9.3 dbf
So I would say yes they are pretty close to the same unit and all you have to do is weigh in the price vs the few extra's one has vs the other.

Pop's made me a good offer for the Pionier unit but I am still at the mercy of waiting for the money.
Just exploring @ the moment and getting opinions and input.
So if in the mean time someone is interested in getting the set up from him I would go for it guys.
Thanks Pops

Is just before they put it out there they took away the one thing everyone was looking forward to.
It was supose to have an interface with the cars computor so you could watch everything it said about the engine and performance.
Originaly when I heard about that being incorporated into it I said it was about time and I can't wait. But now that it is gone it dosn't matter a whole hell of a lot.
They droped the idea because it made the unit too expensive for the every day driver to want. :argue:

I have that head unit, I put it in myself. You do have to cut, both behind the head unit and the dash bezel. other than that you just have to tuck a LOT of stuff behind the a/c control.
1st the downs of the 9140.
Slow loading on power up. The only thing quick is the backup camera.
The iPod control is great but if you have the album art on your ipod the screen loads the picture SLOWLY and if you advance tracks 1 to many times before the art loads it will lock up the iPod. You have to disconnect it and let the battery die before you can use the iPod again. I have been told that if you take the art off of the iPod it works seamlessly.
Now the good
The 13 band eq is great as are the sound shapers.
The sirius works great although you can't pause the broadcast.
I use every bit of the 22 watts at least until I amp it.
I like that you can program speaker size, location and distance from your seat as well as pick sub size and crossover frequencies.
You can set the eq separately for each device ie. cd,Sirius, iPod etc.
I am happy with it but the iPod issue is a pain. I hope to resolve it soon. Maybe this weekend.
I am sure the Pioneer is a great unit too I just really liked the Garmin and I have owned many Kenwoods with good results.
I wish John carried them. I got my speakers from him though. I will get my amp from him when the time comes.
You guys are great! Thanks for the good comments on me and my store!

I don't use or own an I-Pod so not too worried about that one I guess I am still too old school that way with no MP3 or I-pod. But I do have an extensive CD collection I enjoy listening to. But I am tired of having a GPS on the windshild instead of in the dash and like the idea of having Sirius available for use.
Anyways thanks for the write up and honest comments about it!
Again Pops thanks for the options because I didn't have much of one before. Just have to wait and see how the cash plays out.

I have a large cd collection as well and grew tires of carrying around binders full of discs. I bought a 30gb iPod and loaded 500+ CDs on it.
I now have a 120 gb iPod with over 600 CDs on it
I can't tell you how nice to have all of my music in my shirt pocket or in alll of my vehicles
I fought buying one for a long time. Now I have it I can't stand being without it on the road
1.5 years ago I took a 6300 mile 6 week road trip
just me the car and the iPod I has 93 hours of moving time on the gps
I put the iPod on Shuffle at the beginning of the trip I did not make it all the way through the music even skipping songs.
Right now my iPod holds 16.9 days of music with no repeats
I don't know if the Cd player even works in my 9140.
Just my 25 cents
I'm with you Leo, I never had an Ipod or other music device other than an el cheapo CD Player. Never been much of a music fan, and that's why I listen to the radio all the time. At least in NY, there's at least two stations for any listening preference, and ever since I bought the MM, I've been hooked on the RDS!
RDS is the best thing ever for music radio lovers, I'll never get another car without it! And also aside from my home stereo, it's a fine sounding system for my needs and I probably won't change it. I like how great the stock look in the car is.
Good luck, and despite how much of abhor cutting the dash for equipment, the Kenwood will probably be best for you.

But for standing all day in a factory listening to the music instead of the machines running all around I can totaly see why it would help the shift go by faster.
But for me in the car for the few months and amount of time it gets used I am always swtiching between CD's or the radio stations and I tend to listen to the oldies station more than most of the others.
That is why I was thinking about the Sirus satalite add on as well because I have heard the stations in a friend of mines Caddy Escalade and loved the music I heard on the stations from it.
I was thinking this would be nice for the trip to Carlisle with the navagation and all. I have to admit I am not fond of having a seperate navagation piece sitting on the windshiled and just looks too messy for me in the Marauder and makes her seem more dated than she is. Silly what a couple of years means to tech in a car if they had just made it around now would have had the Sync inside of her instead.
But thanks guys for the help and sugestions as well as personal thoughts about items for add on's. :coolman:

Sirius is excellent!
And of course it comes with the added bonus of Howard Stern. Always a hoot!

My AVIC-F90BT that I bought from Pops a year or so ago works fine with my iPod and album art has never been an issue (no matter how fast I change songs).
BTW, you may be able to reset the iPod by pressing down on the click wheel (6-o'clock) and the center button at the same time. It's supposed to be a software reset.
Personally, I like my Zune better than my iPod, but iPods have the market for interfacing with a lot of audio equipment.

Beyond my abilities @ the moment unfortunatly! :censor:
Bank said no go even with the Marauder paid off now. Found out that Bankruptcy now stays on your report for 10 years so they don't want to touch me.
Funny a bank I have been with for 12 Years says no but Ford said sure we will give you a new car if you want it Dave.
Ford says yes to $25,000.00
Bank Says no to $10,000.00
