I guess i officially started the project yesterday. I spent the day at my cousin's garage ripping parts out of his 04 Cobra. Since he's getting a F1 A ProCharger for his stang, he sold all the stuff he doesn't need to me. Which kinda works out for the both of us. And so, the pics:

JLT cold air intake, 14" K&N filter, SCT Big Air MAF:

Cobra upper intake, Throttle body, Eaton M112 Supercharger:

Cobra lower intake manifold, 39# injectors, heat exchanger, and fuel rail:

Aftermarket intercooler:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c393/shadz39/Marauder/S8300030.jpg

Intercooler pump, hoses, 1 Gal. intercooler juice reservoir:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c393/shadz39/Marauder/S8300031.jpg

Tension pulley, Lower IAT, IAC, EGR Valve, Vacuum rail, Throttle cable, Throttle bracket, IC in/out dealy:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c393/shadz39/Marauder/S8300032.jpg

We have to back to get the pigtails for the IC pump and the lower intake manifold IAT.
Yeah, I'm stoked. Now all i need is a few small things and then it's time to rock!

Id like to recommend moving the MAF away from the Throttle body.

Take some of the PCV and put it in between the rubber boot and MAF. The MAF should end up in the same location as the rest of us Eaton Swap guys.

You wont need all that emmissions stuff, EGR or the Fuel Rails.

Zack
02-24-2010, 08:04 AM
Oh, that IC tank wont work either (and look good)
I modified one once to use in conjunction with a Mustang Fan shroud and it still looked like hell.

Commodore Crap

I'll see what i can do. I'm doing the swap at my cousin's garage, and he's a welder by trade. So any of the modifications(like the fun coolant crossover mod) will be done there. And the battery is going to the trunk.
I will move the MAF away from the TB.
He just gave me everything. I planned on not using the EGR stuff.

Thanks.

Do yourself a favor and pressure test the Coolant tube before it goes out for powdercoating. Spend the $$$ and have a radiator shop do the testing.

Truer words havent been spoken. You may think the tube is water tight. Give it a week and youll have litle drops of green starting to appear on the tube.

I will pressure check it. And I really don't have to send it out to get powdercoated. Because i'm opening a powdercoating business within the next month or two. I'm going to look at the building tomorrow.
But I will contact you if i have any questions!!

If you have a stock TB, the MM cable will work.

If you have an aftermarket TB, you will need the Cobra Cable.

Trust me neither do I.

My black car is fine with an aftermarket TB.

If you take a good look at some aftermarket TB's, the actual dimensions are different.
The 'longer' the TB, the more likely it is you will need a cable mod.

The Cobra cable won't fit unless modified. The two bolts on the firewall are spread farther apart than the holes on the cable.

True. They are one and the same with an air-air setup.
The roots and twin screw blowers have 2 heat exchangers.
Accepted convention is pretty much the one under the blower is referred to as the intercooler, the one in the grille is the heat exchanger.
I'm not sure about proper terminology for air-water centrifugals.

The intercooler is also technically an after cooler too. Doesn't really matter, when talking about the setup there the part under the blower is called the intercooler and the part that cools the water is called the heat exchanger.

they have to, other wise you'd just have hot water. Race cars tend to have a big ol' container in the trunk/cabin. It gets cold stuff every run though I figure
