Anyone know who was the manufacturer for Ford on the OEM MM car cover through Ford accessories by chance? Love this cover and want to find the same material cover for my '08 F150 SuperCrew. It seems like it's made out of a parachute type material which is super light and really easy to work with when using and easy to store in between uses.

Actually, NOAH is a fabric and not a manufacturer. The Ford covers are made by Covercraft. They are available in at least two fabrics including NOAH and Weathershield. I have two different Ford covers for my MM that are made by Covercraft. Both covers have FoMoCo part numbers sewn on as well as Covercraft id numbers. One is made of the NOAH material, and is gray. It has Grand Marquis on the front. The other is made of black Weathershield, and has Marauder on the front. Both covers are made to fit the Panther body tightly, and are made from the same pattern. Both have a clear plastic window on the rear deck that allows the license plate to show when the cover is in place. I've found that the Weathershield material is lighter weight, but is completely waterproof, while the NOAH is heavier, and not as effective in shedding water. Here's a link describing the NOAH material... http://www.covercraft.com/NOAH.htm

Where can we get the Marauder weathershield one at?

Where can we get the Marauder weathershield one at?

They used to be sold at the Ford/Mercury dealers, as well as on the Ford Accessories website. I'm pretty sure the Marauder covers are long gone.
The same quality covers are still available through COVERCRAFT (http://www.covercraft.com/). They have the patterns to make exact copies of the original ones made for Ford and Mercury. The only difference will be that the Ford labels and part numbers won't be sewn on the inside bottom edge, and they probably don't have the license plate window feature. You can even have a MARAUDER (http://www.covercraft.com/ford_logos.htm) logo screened on the front.

Here's a link to Covercraft for more information. http://www.covercraft.com/

Cool. Looked up on Covercraft website. Looks like the "Marauder" version cover is the weathershield HP fabric. I absolutely think the weathershield HP fabric version is awesome! Super light, easy to put cover on car, and easy to store in my trunk organizer in between uses. Now that I know the material, I will definitely order one for my F150. Thanks everybody!

I have always used the covercraft Techalon 4 layer material. But I cover my cars at work to protect them from the hot california sun. When I lived in LA, I saw cars that were only 3 years old with the clear coat paint layer already pealing off and the interior ruined within 6 years. Cracked dash, faded interior, and seats falling apart. 8 or 9 hours of baking in the sun at 140 degree interior temperature is tough.

I had the Weathershield HP cover and found it was causing micro-marring in the paint where the elastic stitching slid over the bumper covers.
I returned it and got a Sunbrella cover like I have for my Mark8. Much smoother and seems to lay on a little better if it is outdoors and windy.
got mine from autoanything.com cheaper than straight from covercraft.

Jim is absolutely right that the sun can cause serious damage over time to the paint and interiors of our cars. If you have to keep a car outside, a car cover is a great investment to help protect against direct sunlight damage. The other bonus is keeping dust, airborne dirt, tree sap, etc. off the paint when you're not driving.

It's very important to keep your car clean and waxed when using any car cover to help prevent "micro scratching" the paint. I use my cover everyday, unless I have to drive it in the rain. It's really dirty where I work because there's lots of street traffic that stirs up dust and dirt all day long. I put the cover on when I park, and it prevents all that nasty, gritty dirt from getting on the paint. Before I got a cover for the car, it would always have a dusty residue on it after work.

This winter my area has been hit by several record-breaking snowstorms, and because my MM stays outdoors, I decided to leave the car covered when the first snowstorm hit back in December. That storm dumped over 2 feet of snow, but the snow didn't stick to the slick surface of the WeatherShield fabric. I just swept it off with a soft car washing brush on a pole. Since then, 2 more major snow storms and several heavy rainstorms have hit, and the WeatherShield cover has performed even better than I expected, keeping the paint clean and dry throughout. I was lucky to get my covers from members of this site who didn't need theirs anymore...The Ford part number for the black Marauder WeatherShield cover is 2W3Z-19A412-CA, the gray Marauder NOAH cover is 2W3Z-19A412-BA, and the Grand Marquis NOAH cover is 2W3Z-19A412-AA.

A Google search found no links for the original Marauder covers, but there are a few links for available NOAH Grand Marquis covers HERE (http://www.lombardfordaccessories.com/productDetail.cfm?productID=11 158&categoryID=12&productTypeID=2&CFID=68665&CFTOKEN=76164017) and another one HERE (http://mryparts.dealerfit.com/store/mercury-grand-marquis-full-vehicle-cover-prod1100_10865.php)

Mine's the same as the one in the pictures above. It's a Covercraft WeatherShield model, and yes, it is waterproof...I bought mine used, but I would expect to pay around $250.00 retail for a new one. Covercraft will put the MARAUDER name on the front if you order it.

WTF, that is kind expensive! You can get the universal one with a water proof for $50 with a 3 year warranty
