Ray:

I would hope that some of the gang from the N.E.MM group will be there. My current plan is to be there as the boating season starts shortly after this event and it will be hard to convince the "boss" to let me go to events afterward.

I have never been to a "cruise night" event. What goes on at these events?
Might make it, depending on my schedule.
Just to show support for our troops is worth the trip!

A Cruise Night is a gathering of cars on a parking lot. The differece between it and a car show is there is no competition. This allows cars that aren't 100% show cars to feel more at ease and bring there cars out even if they're not perfect. The nice thing is that it brings out a lot of neat stuff that you don't see at a show. We hang out for four hours, shoot the bull, look at cars, eat free food, enjoy good music and relax. We have a parking lot that will fit about 175 cars and a shop which will hold about 30. We have a permit to close the street, so we can fit at least another 150 cars. Check out my photo albums in my signature for pictures of past cruise nights. RAY

Hello to all who participated in the cruise night. I arrived late and had to park on the street. It was a blessing in disguise as I was able to leave very easily. I had to leave early, my five year old daughter was getting very tired. So did we missed the "cruising" part?
Being this was my first cruise event, I had no idea what to expect, it was fun.
As I walked around the Marauders, the people who seemed to be owners were busy talking to others. I didn't want to interupt anyone, so I moved on to my own car, with intentions to come back later. Well, at my car this very nice lady kept talking, asking several questions about my car and the Marauder. Maybe she will be buying one? So I didn't get the chance to speak to anyone of you. Just a thought...Maybe we could get t-shirts or buttons made up showing our support for this site as well as knowing whom to speak to in large crowds.
I'm looking forward to another event, when is the next one? :)

What you don't introduce yourself to fellow Marauder owners and MM.net members. We did not smell that bad, I for one took a bath that morning. Yes and I used soap and water too, brushed my teeth and used deodrant, thank you!! :P

We had a good Marauder turn out 8 from the CAM area, as we headed up I-95 in a convoy people were breaking their necks checking us out. It is always good to meet old friends. Muader03 (Bob and his wife Dottie) hope she is feeling better soon, GordonB & Joan, Merc & Pam, Mad-3R & Mad3R's Wife, Bigdogjim (our escort), the fat bastard, MarauderMark & Peg, tstratt & Bernie (sp?), Reddog69 (Frank & Rosa) and Marauder and his GF, Pwee (sp?). Then there was the member from CT, I don't remember your name or handle, did not get to talk to you much, but it was nice to meet you and your family.

Ray, when I walked up to you to introduce myself as Haggis you said Hi, but I don't there was any reconition there. No problem I understand you was busy with all the people that turned out.

Ladyhawke and I had a good time and thanks to MarauderMark for waiting for us to escort us out of Philly. Are you sure you lived there for 15 yrs??

MarauderMark alls cool, Chris was driving and turns to me "I know 95 south wiil get us home and do not know where they were going." and we thought you was waving good-bye. There is a 55Mph speed limit we didn't see any signs and that is why I let Chris drive home, "Can't drive 55." We did 75-80 and I did not expect to meet up with you and Peg again. There was a acciden on 95 involving three cars and one of them had its nose tore off, we ran over some plastic and fiber glass, no damage to the Black Bomber thank God. It was good to catch back up with you again, Chris says to me as I'm half asleep "What's that up ahead?" lo and behold I read the tag and great googliely woogliely it's your car. No need to fight we all had a good time and the side streets of Philly were not that bad, reminded me of growing up back home in Jersey.

Yes it is too bad you live way up in NE Maryland, If you ever want to move to western Maryland just let us know. LOL. Family thanks I was pretty much saying the same thing to Chris on the way home. it is good when people click right from the begining. Will send you all the info we have in the mail in the next day or two, have to find it first.

We will have our own capital Area Marauder meet in the near future, will keep you posted.

Charlie, PM received. Thanks.

The videos of the caravan to Philly came out great. I have to spend some time editing out some of the Junk, but that should be no problem. I will add this collection to the Raid on Hershey DVD. I just wanted to give special thanks to Frank and Rosa for watching the cars while we eat at the restaurant. I feel grateful for their kind service. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk to everyone. I was wondering if we could start a list of attending members, friends, and family. I wanted to add this information to the credits on the up coming Marauder DVD release. :pimp:

I guess I should come clean and tell you all why we stayed out to " watch the cars". We had every intention of selling each and every one! The only problem was we forgot to get the keys. Really we're trying to get Neo comfortable riding in the car for long periods. We packed a lunch and kind of picniced while you guys ate. Again, it was a blast meeting all of you. If your ever up our way give us a shout and we can meet for dinner. Reddog

Merc....when you get this done, send me a copy. BTW, how's the shirt coming? Dot and I had a great time meeting you and everyone else that made the run. Sorry we couldn't have spent more time with everyone, but the shingles were acting up and she was in pain, and couldn't walk around. So, I put her in the car, and we made our way home. Hope to see you all again soon.

Reddog69,
If you could have sold 14 (or was it 16??) Marauders in the 60 minutes or so that we were inside Bennigan's, you would definitely be up for the F/L/M salesman of the year. And, Mercury would be calling you for some lessons in how to market their vehicles. Was this a cash and carry exercise or were you offering rebates, leather jackets, and low interest rates as well?

Glad that my Blue '03 was parked at the end of the display and that your skills as a car salesman need sharpening...........

Haggis, The only smell that I noticed there was "exhaust fumes" (from the rear of cars, not people :o ) I plan on going to the fall event, when I'm there, I'll be placing a license plate sized sign on the dash of my car with my handle "ts-pa". In addition to that, I might get one of those cool "GILDAN ULTRA-COTTON PIQUE KNIT SHIRT WITH RACING COLLAR" from KEISER with MM.net logo & my name and handle on the sleeve.

Merc, you mentioned a DVD in the works, will there be copies for sale?
