Thanks for the post Zack! I wonder if he will produce a PSRI in the future? His welds are NICE.

I sent mine to a metal fabricator down the block from my shop. Total cost = FREE.

OK!
So I was wrong about the welds being 'pretty good'...but I called it on the thin materials:
"Wow...that sucks!
I'm not sure that the welding is the problem.
Those beads look pretty good.
I think that the problem is the thin sheetmetal that is used.
I'd be willing to bet that it vibrates and has a 'harmonic' with the engine rpm.
That is causing excess metal stress and then a fatique crack(s)."
I will collect my forensic engineering fee at a later date...:P
BTW: That guy does it the way it should have been done.
I wonder how many Naz-intake buyers have bad vacuum leaks and don't even know it?

None!, They crack and make too much noise that you end up pulling the intake off within a month anyways.

I reached out to T.J. and he's considering his own PSRI. Funny thing he also thinks the flutes on the end of the runner my be just a Naz gimmic and may not be necessary. Maybe there will be more to come!

I have wanted two of these ... I have a spare upper and lower too. I just wish we could find a good reliable shop that could port + polish for us with quality in their work.

He started becoming hard to get in touch with right after talk of him taking forever to ship these things out, then once they started cracking, he just disappeared and hid under rumors of health issues, a divorce and sick family members. :argue:

Paul, for the short time you had yours installed, do you think is was worth it? I mean if the welds didn't crack, did it perform well otherwise?
It looks like he did a good job, he just chose the wrong material for the bottom. Too bad he didn't stand behind his product... :banned:
You beat me to the question.

I'm not, there were lots of claims about result in the fall. . . it's almost spring again.

Without a dyno run or a time slip, I can only gauge it by this, Lenny (OnebadLSE) and I would race all the time, before the intake I would hold him off by a nose til third gear then he would catch up and pass me. We would end the run with him about a car length ahead of me. With the intake installed, I would take him by a nose as always and this time he couldn't catch me as quick to pass. At the end of the strip we would end up with him a nose ahead of me. Same strip of road, same distance, different outcomes after the install. I went 13.6 - 13.7 at the track he went 13.3 with a couple of faster runs here and there. So I have to say that it did make a improvement by just bolting it on. The noise was unbearable though. The performance gain wasn't worth the noise this thing made!

Yeah, Im waiting to get my return check to get headers and a exhaust bolted on then a tune. Then I can make my attempt.

Must have been a different year they were talking about? 2010? 2011? 2012 (the end of time)?
