I noticed today that when I have my headlights on and my car is in gear, at idle, that my volts drop to just below 14. When I turn the lights off it goes up to 14 and when I'm driving its at just above 14. I checked under the hood and when I press on my belt the tensioner actually moves a little with less force then I remember. Does this sound like the symptoms of a wore out tensioner or should I be looking at an alternator? I have 104000 miles on the original alternator, battery, and tensioner. I also have a Lidio tune that disengages the alternator at WOT.
Sounds like you have more voltage output than most.
Congrats, leave it alone.

Mine runs about 14.4-7 with nothing on (more when it's cold), with everything running the most I've seen it dropped down to was 14.1 and I wasn't going by the stock volt meter.

It is the amperage use vs what your altinator can handle that is important to watch the voltage of your system is 12 volts so as long as it is above 12 you are good to go.
