Can't make this one Paul our MM is down for the count and won't be back to 100% till some time next week. Air suspension died and we are waiting for new parts.

Have you been noticing a build up of water underneath it at all?

I had noticed on my own when I installed the Cold Air intake that water builds up in the box under the air ride compressor.

So I used a whole saw and drilled a good size drain hole for it. Maybe some of you are having shorter life spands on them due to sitting in water?

To 100% honest I'm not even sure where the compressor is. I know it's on the drivers side somewhere but never took note of it. I never saw any standing water in the engine bay though. We put a K&N on it 1 1/2 yrs ago and Paula used it as a daily driver till Nov. when she picked up the Aviator. It sat till earlier this week when I took it for a drive. It may have seized from sitting for months of no activity.

Underneath the air filter is where it reside's and there is a plastic box it sit's in with a deep well on the side of it. Your air box use to sit on top of it.

On my 1993 Grand marquies it never died but it sat in a spot where water could not collect and go plenty of of air access.

As soon as I noticed the water around my air pump that was enough to make me see a potencial problem hence the drilled drain hole.

Can't be there, I will be pulling the MM out of winter slumber, replacing the battery, changing all the fluids, cleaning her, etc.

Thanks for the offer Dave but its been ordered already. Hope to have it up and running Monday eve. Goes in Friday for the other mods. My local guy said I can be his helper for the day. Got to keep him and the air wrench in check for the torque settings

I will scope this out when I get the car back. I don't want to have to replace this compressor again, they aren't cheap
