MM=Best Buy

Was watching CNBC at breakfast this morning and there was a puff piece on Kiplinger's (financial advice magazine) current issue on "best buys" in vehicles for 2004. mercury marauder was rated best buy in sedans between 30-40K. And we know the MM can be bought for less than 30K. I did.

I don't subscribe so could not access the article on the net.

BTW, I was glancing at Consumer Reports (2004 Cars Reviews) in the grocery store last nite and they did not even bother to list the MM except as an ajunct to t he write-up on the Grand Marquis. Paraphrasing, `not a noticeable difference from the GM'.
Obviously, CR does not have a clue! Way to go!

Unless you are trying to buy a fridge, lawn mower, or microwave, those guys at CR are total numbnuts, especially when it comes to automotive stuff. They claim they are not biased, but they honestly need to look themselves in the mirror. Do those morons see the "Marauder performance package" listed as an optional add-on to the Grand Marquis? The Marauder is it's own model and it really nothing like a GM. Did they even visit the Mercury vehicle website to check to see whether the Marauder was it's own vehicle or not?

Latest copy of AAA monthly magazine listed Marauder as one of the 5 coolest cars in America!!
Now these people know cars.................
