Seems to be an install kit that comes with all sorts of washers and bolts and stuff. Looks like the non-IRS kit would be the one. I really don't have any idea and have thought this same question too so I will be waiting for the experts to chime in. Most of the guys get a new cover and the truss thingy (girdle?) that adds some strength. I believe you need longer bolts for that.(stud bolt kit) Don't forget the proper diff oil. I've seen a lot of members using Royal Purple gear oil w/friction modifier.

Uh!? hope your talking about limited slip:o. I've seen a few guys get trac-loc. I think Doomie did his and he's floating around MM cyberspace at this hour so maybe he'll chime in. I don't have an issue with the factory set up as yet. Maybe after Doomie gives me a ride in the Vanwinklemobile I'll think differently

That would work but one of MM's sponsers sell the same basic thing except it says something different than Ford racing. Innovative Interceptors in the vendor area

I suppose the more bulletproof you can make it the better. Really depends on how you plan to use your MM and of course your budget

As I understand it the Mosers have some sort of taper thing going on and "IF" they break this is where it happens.

New bearings and shims to go with the gears.
And maybe a better trac loc with 31 spline shafts like the others are saying.

If you want new 28 spliners -- get Dorman (rolled insted of cut spline -- 30% stonger)
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=42&partnum=630214&a=FR42-630214
Comes with new axle bearings and seals - I may get these - get (2) one for each side.

its something to do with how they are heat treated and then machined for the ebs ring, they break right at the hub. Zack has first hand experience. bottem line, ill never buy them EVER.
