Ok so hear it goes, me and a bunch of Army buddies are doing some time here in Hattiesburg MS. Lucky for me, a bunch of us are motor heads. A friend of mine has a mustang 5.0, I decided not mess with him running 13.5's. Considering, I am basicly stock with a tune and a K+N insert. Another frind has a 09 charger R/T. He has a predator tune with exhaust and cold air intake. So, he and I are compriable. I am used to roundy round racing. So my first day at the straight line. First run 14.64 with a miserable 1.4 sleepy reaction time OMG. Needless to say, he got me by a fender. We line up for another, I pull a 14.60 reaction a miserable 1.2 put beat him on the secound run by a whisker. So we figure best out of three, well this time, he beats me by a C hair. He the real part of the story, I should've quit while I was ahead, the fourth time he wooped my :censor:. he pulled a 14.2 and me a disgusting 15.2 ouch. spun the tires and tried to keep it in second to the end of the quarter. What a mistake.

By in large first time doing the straight line thing a loved it.

Now I'm feeling the need for more speed!!!

I went to the one next exit up from 49 off 59N . The name is HUB CITY DRAGWAY

You need ALOT of practice on R/T's. :P

Practice practice practice. My MM was the first automatic I had ever raced, I had always run at the track with manual cars. Took me about 8-10 times to get it down and learn the car.

Also make sure the traction control is off (if yours has it) and Overdrive are off. If you notice wheel spin drop the rear tire psi down to around 25 psi. A good preloading of the converter will help the launch.

Yea, I realize that was a major down fall. Oh well, I got the weekend after next to fix it. :banana2:
