I need to replace at least 2 and maybe all 8 Ignition Coils on my 2004 Mercury Marauder. It has a misfire and from what other members have said, coil replacement is the way to fix the problem.

I know Motor craft IC's cost $49.00 each. I came across Rally Ignition Coils for $14.95 each on E-Bay

Can you tell me if they are any good or just junk that will give me problems!

Good aftermarket coils suggestions are welcome, with places to buy!

Thank you

Replace them with stock coils.

Have you checked the condition of the boots yet before you go spending big money?

If the ends of the boots do not fit snug around the porcelain of the plug, it will ground out on the head and cause codes and misfires.

Booots wear out from age, heat and oil saturation.

The coil itself seldom goes bad (Ive had 5 MM's and never a bad coil)

+1 Check your boots. I would'nt waist the money on aftermarket coils, I just saw a post for some good used stock coils for the cheap. If I can find it I will PM you.

Go with the OEM coil packs, new boots, GMS springs & dielectric grease.

Not springs, coil connectors. OEM all the way besides the coil connectors.

Aye aye, makes sense I guess. Imma check the spares I got, maybe I didn't need to replace them. Glad I didn't toss them.

I went with aftermarket Accels for $150.00 shipped. But if I found an OEM set for around the same price I would have gone that route. So far so good.

If you decide to go with all new boots, Drivewire.com has a set of denso's for about $48. I did this myself to really find that I had a coil problem and I'm in the process f changing all of them but just don't have that money, got 5 more to go.
