I recommend this BIG TIME. Luckily my pressure is allready dialed down quite low, cause I have heard of some super nasty shifts. But as is, it can be from flat out mild to crisp shft depending on how much gas is applied.

This is justbob and I approve this message.

BANG's is Right!

I had to put the springs back in to keep me from getting a whip lash...every time it shifted...+ I had to lower the line pressure...or it will chirp 2nd EVERYTIME...not good when a LEO is near...

Justbob is correct, you can use the throttle to get it to shift harder whenever you like...

Gotta LOVE IT!

Dave, get off the fence and get it done!

It is definetly a MUST DO everyone!

Aloha

Just be careful to stay in vacum not boost when shifting into 3rd in the rain....or like i said...around you WILL go!

It will spin the tires in the 2nd - 3rd up shift when in @ 8 lbs of boost...on dry pavement...at @ 50 mph...:)

Just drop the drain pan and the valve body remove some springs drill out some holes. I think someone made a (Sticky) in the do it yourself section.

I'm not much of a worker bee anymore. Here and there when I can but I enjoy hanging out and filling in in a supervisory role:beer:. That's why I ask so many questions. I like to know whats going on and how it goes but getting my hands dirty has lost some of its luster.

Yes it would be good for N/A cars.

Firmer shifts and longer transmission life.

J-mod is good for any Transmission.
The life expectancy will increase 10 fold. Combine that with shortened shift timers in the tune and you can safely run 450-500rwhp without worries on an otherwise stock transmission.

I was concerned about totally removing my springs, but Zack put me in my place and told me I had to.:o I am glad I did, anything before 1/4 throttle feels no different than stock, anything after is crisp and quick. Never has it banged hard. Only thing bad that I can think of was refilling the tranny on a Trilogy car:mad: NEVER FUN. I have a custom long, precisionally burnt and reshaped, weird looking funnel now.:D

This statement has always confused me!

How are the trilogy intakes on the wrong side when the marauders came from the factory with the intake on the drivers side???

If anyones intake is on the wrong side it's you eaton swap guys! :argue:

isn't that why you had to make modifications to get your battery to fit on the drivers side?

FYI when Seneca was over here and did my J-mod we had no problem at all getting to the transmission dip stick with a funnel and refilling my trans fluid.

Just need to have the right tool for the job. Nothing special or hard to find. I used a funnel with a long flexible tube that I got from pepboys.
