View Full Version : MM.NETers Profile -- lack of location

GordonB

To all,
Pls consider updating your MM.NET profile if you do not show a LOCATION when you post responses or new threads. This would help everyone out in a VERY BIG WAY.
This forum is great, but with a little bit of help it can be even better!!
Thanks to all.
GordonB:)

c'mon folks... putting your city and state wont kill ya!

Agreed: People ask questions and it would be very helpful if we had a clue as to were they are. Yesterday some was looking for an '03 blue Marauder and with no location its harder to help out!

Location, location, location............

Might I suggest to all to just give City/State/Province for the locally geographic inclined?

"Down the street from Bob Jenkins Farm, East Armpit" Doesn't help us :)

Yea, I grew up in a small town too. Worst part was, a newcomer could ask 3 different people, and still get the same instructions...

"Yea, just go past the farm and turn where Jim knocked the mailbox down 10 years ago..." Hehehehe.

Not to say Todd doesn't live in East Armpit... :)

Well --There is alot that could be said but TAF is in Jax and is probably having diff time in dial up at hotel--so will stay away from the friendly jabs --best when I see'um in person anyway--so wil get back to the thread and say---

I agree --all should post where they are located--actually --Logan should make it a REQUIREMENT and make it retro by such a date to do or else----my 02............Tom

Marty,

Hartsfield International Airport is on the south side of Atlanta. It can make the Bronx look like "Candy Land".

Good luck on a Friday afternoon....hoofin' it.

Your pal,

TAF

To all,
Thank you for the encouragement. I try to come up with constructive ideas once in a while!
Now, all you people who fear that we will track you down and try to abscond with your MM, pls post your City/State so it makes it easier for us to FIND you!!! HeHe!
Really,
This is the best, most well-behaved group of people I have run across on the WEB and I think we can help each other better if we know where you are to be able to help you better!

Logan, what do you think of the REQUIRED fields?

Ok, OK, I give I included my city. If you want to call it a city, darn this place is growing fast. Too many people too fast. Time to think about moving farther out. Oh well that's another post.

But I googled it. Chicago, right?

Geography I don't have a problem with, it's nicknames I'm not familiar with.
