Anticipating my Kook's headers and X-pipe, I am looking for a shop in Vegas that can do the install for me. They'll need to be able to install the headers, x-pipe, and they'll need a mandrel pipe bender.

Any recommendations?

I wish. I have had the exhasut on my 72 P/U patrts hauler re-done 3 times by 3 different shops. The tail pipe fell on the axle last month if that tells you anything. I was just going to sell the truck when I found a pristine low mile 70 in the junkyard with a perfect factory exhaust. Bought it for $5.00, yup, a fin...So now I have to take a weekend a put it in and see if i can do better than what passes for good work here.

I thought the new Kooks kit does not require bending or welding?

The Kooks kit doesn't require bending or welding but I want to replace all of the pipe between the muffler and Megas tips with 2.5" mandrel bent pipe. The Kooks kit goes from the headers to the mufflers.

vegasmarauder,

Performance Muffler on Industrial does good work but they won't do a header installation. For welding and pipe bending they are great.

I am with vegasmarauder, when we can find a good shop here in vegas, i am in. Until then, i have to sit on the fence. Now, if the kooks setup is easy enough to install in the garage. Maybe i can just forget about the shop, and do it in my garage?

vegasmarauder,

Would you mind naming the 3 shops you went to so I can avoid them?

Not going to name names in public, but one was on Western at Oakey, the other was at Flamingo and Boulder, and the Third at Sandhill and tropicana, Oh yeah, the 4th (I forgot() was at Windmill and Pecos. 2 Were big name shops, the others independants. Don, I will take a look at Performance Muffler. Thanks..

Has anyone heard of Las Vegas Street Rods? They are downtown near Freemont street.
