If your lucky there is a sticker on the trunk hindge or it will be in the manual, if your unlucky you will have to pull the drivers door panel and get it off the control unit.

the previous owner may have changed it, in that case I'm pretty sure that if you disconnect your battery for a while it will go back to the OEM code.

Or possibly the DCM has been replaced so the sticker doesn' match the module. Pull the door panel...

A little experimentation will reveal that, if the code is 11357, and you type 5113579, the door will still open! This means that with 7 characters we managed to try out 3 sequences - 51135, 11357, and 13579. After the initial 4 numbers (which sort of primed the pump) every digit tries one new sequence. Since there are 55 length 5 sequences of characters from an alphabet of size 5, we know that we'll need to try 3125 sequences total. With our intuition from above, we would hope that we could find a sequence of size 4 + 3125 (priming the pump, followed by one new sequence every keypress). It turns out that a mathematician named de Bruijn has already done all of the hard work for us on this one, and all of the relevant math can found under the names de Bruijn sequence and de Bruijn graph. But I'm not going to talk about math any further here. Right now, I am going to give you a sequence of minimal length that, when you enter it into a car's numeric keypad, is guaranteed to unlock the doors of said car. It is exactly 3129 keypresses long, which should take you around 20 minutes to go through.

Just follow the instructions...
Take out the screws, pull the little triangle covers, pop the door panel in an upward direction with your palm.
Take care with 2 things, the switch panel and the little square cover over the screw in the door handle.
The switch needs to go up in the front then slide forward. Up in the back and it'll be broken.

The OEM code is always there. If you "change" the code your are actually adding a code.

You can add two codes in addition to the OEM code.

Only if the dealer who took delivery of the car put them there. Both of the brand-spankin' new Marauders I bought still had the stickers in the owner's manual when I got them. Kinda like the front license plate bracket, when the car left the factory it was in the trunk so when you get the car from the dealer it should be there unless the dealer installed it as part of their "dealer prep".

After you enter the code to unlock the drivers door, press 3-4 to unlock the all the other doors, press 5-6 to unlock the trunk and press 7-8 & 9-0 together to lock all the doors.

You really need to read your owners manual. It also explains how to enable / disable the Autolock feature.

If the code that is written on the module itself does not work, there is a strong chance that the keypad itself has gone bad. I'm on my 3rd keypad on my 2000 Grand Marquis. The seals eventually let water in and corrode the circuit board in time. If had the right two buttons work, but others not function. Just because it will lock the doors doesn't mean its fully working.
