SIZE="3"]us southern and west coast boys appreciate what you are doing but i know there are more central florida guys that can help out with trying to find a location that is good for all - we need more options like a park or a car show that day(keep in mind the n &s florida cars traveling) - we have money in our kitty from the last picnic that is going towards this picnic to help offset the cost of the food or site - (to keep the cost down per person) and a 50/50 too help this year or next[/SIZE]
come on central florida - its your turn to shine

I'll put this out there again..
The Eustis cruise in is on the 22nd. There is a park right on Lake Eustis Ferran Park, with lots of shade trees, picnic tables, and facilities. Lots of places that could cater like Back Yard Boy BBQ who also hold a cruise in. There is The Classic Dream car museum just 8 miles away. We could meet there first and tour the museum, then head to the park to eat. Then the Eustis cruise in starts to fill in at about 3:30. Those that want to stay could stay for a while for the show which usually has 300 to 400 cars. Some issues with this plan are: I don't think you can reserve the park but I can ask. I also don't think there are any grills in the park but there are lots of restaurants within walking distance or the catering option.

we appreciate everything you have done but i know that you are not the only one in central florida - where are the rest of the guys - they should be helping you and come up with other ideas (don garlit museum no go) - i like this what you posted better than old town - grills are not an issue because we will get somebody to cater it for us - get a hold of back yard and see what price they would give us per head - i think if we pulled up with a boat load of marauders they would find a place for us (eustis cruise)

More info:
Yes Eustis would reserve are for us in the park.

Clasic Dreamcar can give us a tour but would require prepayment of $8 + tax per person. He said he does this because he has had more than one group cancel or only a couple of people show up. Sounds like he's just looking for a minimum number of people to make it worth opening on a Sat. If more people showed up it shouldn't be a problem.

Backyard Boys BBQ can cater. For 45 people with 2meats, 2 sides, rolls/buns, plates and utensils and Ice tea/lemonaide it would be:
$8 per person pickup
$9 per person delivered
$11 per person if served.
