Was backing out of my driveway today and the MM kind of bucked hard to the point that I thought I ran over or hit something. It almost felt like something got wedged somewhere in back causing me to almost come to a complete stop after the initial bucking. Did it twice as I was backing out before I decided to leave it home and take the contour instead. Anyone experience something like this. Starting to think the caliper not letting go, but it only happened in reverse so don't know if that's a good guess. Any help is appreciated.
Didn't we just have someone with this problem last week? Any how, I would cheak the parking brake shoes the friction lineing has been known to fall off the shoes and lock up the rear wheels. You will need to remove the rear rotors which can be a real pain in the butt. Good luck let us know what you find

search function sucks
Thats caused its clogged with endless nonsense. If someone mentions "parking" or "brake" in any context, it brings up the thread.

+1 on caliper binding or parking brake shoes binding....
it makes perfect sense that they would only do it backing up, being as that they spend 99% of the time going forward, when they go back and somethings not right, then they bind up.

interesting. Any tricks to getting the drum off? Am I supposed to remove the four nuts on the inside of rotor. Haven't done this yet on this car :help:. Or is it usually a real :censor: to get off?
EDIT: After reading a bit, I see that it is usually a real :censor: to get off. Will have to tackle this another day and get started early. Neighbors not appreciating me right now whaling on the rotors at midnight.
