Can anyone tell me the torque specs for the engine block drain plugs?
I'm also wondering what the sealant is that is used on the drain plugs. It looks like standard red high temp RTV but I wanted to make sure before I got it all back together and it starts leaking.
Thanks all, 1st step of getting everything back together.
Torque? LOL.
Silicone on the threads and tight.

I like to use Loctite 542 or 545 thread sealer.

Thanks guys, will just use some loctite from work and make sure they are tight. This was the one item not covered in the factory manual engine assembly procedure so the torque specs are not listed.

Red, blue, or green loctite is for locking threads or bushings. Brown and purple are for thread sealing.

Where are these block drain plugs located? I've never seen or noticed them. Are you talking about coolant frost plugs? Just curious

One is under the passenger side motor mount, the other is close to the transmission on the drivers side.
