Audio is NOT my thing. With that out of the way, I came across 2 infinity 5" doors, 2 polk audio 6 X 9's, a huge sub box (that I won't use), 2 800w R/F 12's, a 4/3/2 kenwood 320w amp, a R/F 500w amp, MTX crossover, a small pioneer head unit (also won't use), and a mile of cabling.

This was a package deal from a friend who sold her car, a couple years ago and just wanted it out of her garage.

All I was setting out to do was to take one of the subs and the proper amp, and set it up on the rear shelf, and possibly change out the speakers with a little modification. I don't want to see anything but the sub, so I figured i'd mount the amp on the side of the box. IF I were to go ahead and amplify the speakers, then i'd mount the amp and the crossover behind the sub hanging on the wall.

So on with the questions!

1) Line out converter? Can I just hook this up to one of the rear speakers OR should I grab that source off the stock amp wiring?

2) Do I really need to intall the off switch, or can I also use the existing wiring so I don't have to remember to shut it off?

3) How exactly do you wire up the speaker amp?

4) Ground, what size wire? I believe thats the only wire that didn't come with this stuff.

5) Skip all the work amplifing the other speakers and just hook up the sub and one amp?

I'm sure I have more questions, and in the end, not even touch this stuff. But if it isn't too bad, then perhaps i'll try.

Thanks.

Skip amping the speakers if you have a decent deck. If you're going to use the stock deck, may God have mercy on your soul.

0 gauge for +12v to the sub amp and ground (Should be the same as the +12v you already have). I just attached mine to the crossbar that goes behind the back seat in the trunk. (that was in my TBird though, haven't looked at the MM yet)

Amp should have a wire to connect to your accessory, so it will shut itself off when the car isn't on or in acc.

I don't know how you are about custom interior work, but for me, it would be a far smaller headache to just get a set of 6x8s (Curse you Ford).

Hopefully that gets you started.
