It is all good John. Congrats on another personal best. Won't be long before you join the 10 second club and blow by two or more notches and Zack:D.

I am tied up most of April, we'll hook up in May together and break two personal bests:banana2:.

Congrats, that's an awesome time!:banana2::burnout:

Did you like your Hoosiers when they were new? 2Dmax has Al's silver Lyschom'd car and is looking for advice on what full slicks to buy.

I love my Hoosiers. John's were toast. When he gets a new set he will be in the tens the next time at the track.

I was their with a few others , he just spun them every time off the line. No traction at all at the line . The car hauled A$$ once they hooked . If he had a New set of Hoosier's no dought in my mind he would of been in the 10's.

John if you are going racing shortly and still want to use those tires try this for me it will only cost you under 5 bucks to try and tell me what you think ;)
The day before you race you go and buy a gallon of the cheapest bleach you can find and cheap sponge.Wash the tread area with the sponge soaked with bleach liberally.Soak the tires all the way around.
Do it several times.
Let drip dry

Buy some MT 305/45/18 DR's. They are better than slicks in so many ways.

The new Nitto Drag Radial (NT55R) have been rated as the best tire out there now for the track in the drag radial class. DOT rated but not really meant for the street as they are so sticky they wear fast. Some guys at the NMRA Spring Break Shoot in Bradenton a couple weeks told me that they lowered their 60' by 2 tenths from the MT's. Haven't tried them yet myself, but when my 555DR's wear out a set are going on my Marauder. I checked them out at the Nitto Trailer and they are real sticky. Your can write you rname in them with your fingernail.

The talk around town is the new NT05R, not the NT555.

You guys ever find a chart for the size of these new tires. I have not found it on the Nitto site but that does not mean a lot!;)

Nitto told me that are coming out with them for the Lightning shortly:confused:, which are the same size we use 305 X 45 X 18. Most out now are for Mustangs, lower in overall tire height.

Discount tire has them for 235 each. They have been out for months now.

Haven't had the need for another set of tires yet. But thanks for the info. At Bradenton, I think I was more focused at looking at the Nitto Girls than listening to them:lol:.

Ok ok. Now you guys made me forget what I was suppose to do:dunno:

Yeah I could think of another type of rubber that I could burn with them, if my motor didn't give out. Probably would break a crank. And you guys probably would too as both of you are not spring:chicken:'s either.
