Well, I finally got my door panels back from the upholstery shop.

I am really happy with the results.

To remind the folks here, I damaged the driver door panel and decided to spend $400 recovering all 4 door panels in leather instead of spending the $400 replacing the one driver door panel.

They were covered in leather with a french stitch to match the seats.

Here is a pic.

Hey Paul: The more I look at these, the more I like them! Care to share the name/number of the guy who did the work for you? I was thinking I could ship my panels to him and get them done since he practiced on yours first.

PM me if you are serious. However, any local upholstery shop can do it.

If you want I can email you detailed pics.

If you only paid $400 for all four doors, you got a good job at a great price.

Directedby,
Your door panels look very nice.
Question: Did you have the upholsterer put padding under the leather as well?
Thanks,
GordonB.

Leather is glued directely to factory door panel. Because the factory door panel is already padded, the feel is very nice.

Wow, you guys in california never cease to amaze me!!
I didn't originally read this thread thinking....WTF, why mess with the door panels? But, now I get it, you damaged one, why not make the change. See my Ohio mentality? I tear a panel in my back seat...freak out, and have it professionally repaired...TO ORIGINAL! Have I had california mentality...I would have had red seat panels installed.....mmmm, red set panel inserts...new idea, make note...

Any way, I see my tweeter idea got done before I did, oh well, atleast now I know what it will look like. Nice job overall, very nice
