Hey all… New member... I need some advice for my MM. Tires?? I need new skins again and I’m not happy with the wear of the OEM BFG’s anyone with better or suggestions?? Mufflers, I’ve blown out the baffles on the stock mufflers and now they rattle – makin me nutz!!! I want the original look with the tips but I’m open for suggestion. I also need the PROPER specs for the alignment of the front end – I’m toeing out.
This is a great group – enjoying all the discussions. Thanks!

Tires- I would suggest Nitto NT555's.

Rattle- sure it's not you cats coming apart, depending on your mileage I think Ford may cover it under emissions warranty. If it is the mufflers buy a set and take it to any exhaust shop the should be able to remove just the mufflers and install yours

Alignment- search "carfixers alignment"

Oh and Welcome to the site:beer:

Here is a posting that references "Carfixer's Specs" ....

I spoke to carfixer on this site and he recommended these. Said he got the best tire wear.
For best tire wear, here is what I use on all MM alignments:
Camber: -.3 to -.5 degrees.
Toe: Zero degrees.
Caster: 5-6.5 degrees positive with .3 degree lead on the right side.

:welcome: to the site!

Check out Tire Rack, Discount Tire, East Coast Tire, look under
SUV performance tires in 255/55/18. Just make sure load capacity is high enough and that the tires you're looking at are at least a V speed rating.

Nitto, Falken, Hankook, General, and Goodyear all make good replacement tires.

I'm running General Grabber UHPs on the rear and have had good luck with them to date.

I have General UHP Exclaim's. 255/55/18 on the rears and 235/50/18 on the fronts.

if you like a big tire that wears good and is really good on wet pavement.
285/50/18 toyo proxes.

Hankook's here.....

I second that.

Get 255/55/18s and call it a day. They are the easiest to find and most likely least expensive.

I have Nitto NT555 Drag Radials on the back 305/45-18(need widened rims), and the regular NT555 Radials upfront, on my last MM I had the BF Goodrich KDW2s outback and KDWSs upfront.

If your car has traction control, be sure to keep the staggered tire size to prevent issues. If you don't have traction control, then ignore this post.
