Well after some time of going through all these threads and You tube for some time now, today I finally got a wild hair up my A$$. Put on some thrush turbos with the stock set up front to back. I know, I know thrush stink, I should've went with aeros yada yada yada. My first thought was the wallet, then the sound. With this set up, it actually loses the factory drone/ howl that the these cars have. It really is only a little bit louder, and thats what I was trying to acheive. It has a louder rip when the right foot gets stuck in the throotle body, and that what I wanted. All in all, I'm happy with it. Besides, it only set me back $107.00 for the mufflers and the install. Military discount was a big help.

As far as a pic goes, don't have internet on the phone. But the stockers are 22" and weight on ton and the thrush are 18" and two of them don't equal one stocker.

Thick stainless steel walls that is why they are so heavy.

Congrats on the upgrade. I was very very close to pulling the trigger on some Thrush muffs myself, but I decided to go with straight pipes after hearing Jerry (MM.net user pantheroc)'s car.
Hope you enjoy them.

Your stockers are stainless? Lucky you, mine are covered in rust. It's possible they may have been aluminized originally.

Put a Stainless steel Knife outside and and you will see rust form on it over time as well and that is a coated for of it. No they do not rot out like an exhaust from the old days normal metal but they will get surface rust if left untreated.
Get the 3M Scotch-Brite pads Medium and sand the exhaust system down.
Get tape and paper and cover the underside of the car above the exhaust and anything else you want to protect from the paint spray.
Then use the Duplicolor VHT High Temp Primer and paint adhesion on the exhaust, which is an all in one spray. part # SP148
Let it sit over night and then run the car the next day let it get up to normal temp and then shut it down and let it compleatly cool.
The next day use a color you want on it. I personaly used the VHT Cast Aluminum Spray color which is Part # SP735.
Repeat the drying process over night then run the car the next day as before.
Walla your have a nice exhaust system that stays looking nice and keeps the heat inside of the exhaust a lot better.
