I'm thinking about painting at least the rear sway bar red, just to make it stand out a bit. What do you guys think? Paint it red or leave it black?

I say BLACK, that way it will also match your avatar name!

Don't paint them coat them (powdercoat) and don't forget the bushins are gonna rub the finish off them as the work up & down and after their covered in road trash it won't matter what color they are.

It's your ride - do what makes YOU happy!!
I like the red trim idea but don't know how much will actually be seen.

I considered this b4 I installed mine but because I didn't think you could see it I passed. I still may do it in the future. May do it when I put an aftermarket diff cover on.

I would figure it would crack the paint and cause it to peal over time seeing those bar's do flex and twist.

They powdercoat springs, I wouldn't think bars move more than springs

+1 to the powder coating on a flexable part.

I think I'll do it :D I've never seen it done before, at least on a panther

Idk I always thought one of the most noticeable things from the back on panthers and caprice/impala ss was the rear sway bar.
Especially since I'll be lowering the front more, I think it will show some.

So why ask for opinions then? Sounds like you knew the answer to the question before asking it.

I get an idea that I want to try out, but I also want a good reaction because hey, that's why I mod my cars. I want it to be personalized to me, but I also want everyone to like it. I personally think it would be pretty sweet, but I do care about your guys opinions so that's why I ask :)

But I would powder coat it rather than Paint it due to bonding and holding factors on a flexable moving part.
Other than that go for the look you want for you car and enjoy. Nothing wrong with a little customizing and making it uniqui and to your own taste.
Lot's of time's things catch people's eyes and end up enjoying after it is done that they would not have favored in the past.
Post some pictures after it is done and then see the overall reaction and or get further sugestions.
