I didn't start it:dunno: Never do? He rolled out from the light at 4000+ RPM's. I rolled out nice and calm till about 15MPH.... Then I came around like a clap of thunder, till I hit the 45 MPH speed limit ofcourse:D

? I had no idea, I would have thought more with his fast and furious attitude? This is something I normally don't care to do. But I had perhaps a tad of summer in me wanting out I guess.

A Mini Cooper S runs 16.0. My K5 would have even had a chance with that thing. Come on Bob, find someone to mess with in the suburbs and out run the cops after the win!

A buddy of mine had one of the supercharged models that had been pullied and retuned, basically somewhere in the league of like 200-210hp at the crank. Lightweight wheels as well. With just a base Lidio N/A tune, stock everything except for lightly modded exhaust from the manifold back and a JLT intake, I was still able to pull him from just about any roll speed. From a stop was a bit of a challenge, but it always is for this N/A Marauder. They can be made to be fun little fuel economy cars, but honestly I don't see how someone could justify saving money on fuel with such an absurd MSRP and even resale price.

Obviously the jamoke driving the Mini doesn't know how to use it. A John Cooper Works S Mini would have left you in the dust if you were racing on the twisty hill roads.

Most corners, with the exception of hard 90 degree turns on two-lane roads, don't give me much trouble until I pass about 50 or 55 MPH, at that point I can feel the entirety of the car shift sideways away from the turn. I don't know about you, but I don't know many people that have the guts to take their vehicles, even the ones that handle like champs, up to that speed in a corner, most people just think fast = straight line only.

Those are more along the lines of what I race with my focus.
I wouldn't even consider the time to fuss with such a car in the Marauder.

Where's Ms.D at???Well Doom, I figured maybe my friend Bob was just out to humiliate me by dredging up all those horrible, painful feelings of shame, with his gloating tale of conquest. My little nemesis the red Mini Cooper (John Cooper Works series) was put in it's place after a few improvements to my ride. Remember.... he had me from a dead stop ...on a hill.... at 6am..... before I had my Starbucks ......or my Zack tune...... or my CAI. Hasn't given me any trouble since. That's been just about a year now!!:coolman: Thanks Bob, for the stroll down Memory Lane!

Reminds me of a episode 2 weeks ago (in Mexico) with a STR-4 Neon, I damn near sucked him into my intake when I dropped the hammer.

Some of them can be...but lots of HP in a FWD = FAIL!
And remember...it's still a Neon!
Besides, they are the worst sounding 4 cylinder on the road....even worse than a fart canned Honda.
There is a dork down my street with an SRT-4 and he has the exhaust opened up....OH LORDY!!....does it sound like a loud bucket of shat!
I've never been able to catch him when I had the Marauder warmed up and ready to go....:(

There were two guys in my unit that had them. One of them had a turbo and claimed 350hp, so in a 2800lb car, that's not too shabby. But even with a thousand hp, I still wouldn't drive a neon.

Apparently the guy driving the Neon didn't realize that Chuck Norris built my motor.:D :burnout:

We have quite a few around here as well. Most don't bother me, a couple wish they hadn't, and one seems to be a perfect match to me at a 40 punch (ofcourse that is his money speed and not mine). I still give them more respect than any other ricer, because they are atleast American and not too horrible looking.

Yes, my svt has more hp and less weight stock. (if they are really 3200 lbs, seems heavy.)

The weight is more like 2400lbs, stock they run similar to a stock marauder. I dunno where 3200lbs came from.

Nope, they run a 15.2 1/4

Yep, 3,200 lbs is way high.
I found 2,550 lbs for the standard Coupe and 2,700 lbs for the John Cooper Works edition.
I think that Mini Coopers are pretty cool cars.
BTW: If you've seen the modern version next to the original, the new Mini Cooper is by no means 'Mini'!
