I have visited several SS forums and one thing that I have noticed when they discuss their cars in regards to top speed, It seems they have no problem whatsoever running at 150 mph and they say they use GPS to verify speed not speedo. At first I thought it was maybe exaggeration, but it comes up in different forums and many, many people say the same thing. So a car made in the mid 90's that sold new for about $26,000; no talk about vibration or exploding driveshafts. So our car cannot safely go over 120mph because of "drive line critical speed" What does GM know about driveshafts that apparently Ford doesn't ?????

A valid point. I have not verified speed with GPS but I have hit 125 mph on the speedo with my stock '03. I am considering the Kooks headers/exhaust and Reinhart's chip with plugs & T-stat.

Coming back from a fishing vacation we used a Garmin hand held Rhino GPS devise which can instantly track your land speed, location and direction. It's total cool.
With one of these you don't need maps all the highways and lakes are in the memory. To me it's the next best thing to a cell phone.Especially when your in unfamiliar territory.

As we drove we were playing with the GPS.It could track our land speed instantansely. It was almost unbelievable.I could tell the driver his speed and when he speed up and when he slowed down.
