Was hopiong you smart guys could give me a little direction. i have a few things done to my MM nothing crazy and i was wondering what should be next? i see a lot of people doing 4.10 rear end gears, but i do a lot of highway driving. i was thinking of 3.73's thats what i had in my stang. is there anything else i can do? i was also thinking cams, i dont have the money to go S/c yet. what about throttle body?
Dont waste your money on anything that will not be of value once you have a supercharger.
If you get a roots blower, 355's are a good choice.
My advice is to start saving for the SC!

I second that. If I were to do it again it would be a built 4.6 no head work just cleaned up maybe some GT40 Cams + Vortech= blown already...
Well I guess when I finally do get blown it would be over 600rwhp for sure...lol

don't waste your time on 3:73's, you won't notice much change over the stockers.
4:10's and a good tune will wake the car up, and mileage won't be affected much at all, most guys are seeing around 1 mpg drop.

^^^what they said^^^ especially SC Cheesehead.
3.73s are only a 5% difference from stock and and unless you can do the work yourself they aren't worth the time and money. Your 'stang prolly didn't have 18" wheels, either. The mileage penalty with 4.10s in the Marauder is not as big as you might think.
With 4.10s and a Trilogy, on a trip from Cleveland back to Cape Cod, at 75 MPH with my wife and my fat ass, plus a week's work of luggage & junk, we got almost 21 MPG.

I just bought FRPP 3:73s from Jegs for $149.00. My son will install today, replacing the 4:30s that have been in for six years. Thought I would try something different. It's a 13% decrease.

3500 stall torqure converter is fun, but make sure you stay away from the P.I. brand.

so is it true that its better to have 3:55 gears than 4:10s if u choose to go the S/C way?....

I have a Twin Screw Trilogy and 4:10's. I absolutely love the combination. I run ET Streets at the strip. 4:10's dropped my ET .3 seconds to a best of 12.3 with no other mods. Just gears and the Trilogy with the tune that comes with it.

with a PD blower, you would want to keep stock gears, not a must but the 4.10s arnt really needed at that point. if you went with a snail, you would prolly wana get the 4.10s.
with that said, i have the eaton and 4.10s. prolly a lil too much and may switch back to 3.55s when i put my 31 spline axles in.

if you do get a converter, dont go 3500, its so friggen annoying on a street car.

+1. I'm keeping the stock gears in the hope of going SC someday.
Roots blower+410's = rear end breaking loose everywhere, plus, it rains ALOT where I live. Now if you want the ultimate in 60 foot times, and want to run slicks, then that's a different story...
