well, my car was running rough at low rpms (mostly in over drive) and i figured it was a bad coil.
i bought a new coil and switched it around through the 8 plugs, but it still ran rough on all of them.
i took it to the dealership and their computer found a bad #7 coil. they replaced it and it fixed the issue.
why did it work for them and not me ? do u need to reset the computer or something ? ive fixed a bad coil using this method before.
Mine had that prob once. Since the car has "true dual" exhaust, and I didn't have the patients to go round robin with one good coil, testing all the rest, I stood behind the car and listened for which pipe had a slight crackle in the exhaust while it was idling. Took about 30 seconds, the passenger side crackled. I said "AHA!", then replaced all 8 ****ing plugs and coils anyway.

I'm surprised it threw a code at all, most don't,not sure why it did not work for you but if the skip happens again at idle plug and unplug coil packs until one doesn't change the idle that be you coil and/or plug...
