Greetings all,

I'm ready to buy some new tires and I was reading some of the older tire posts. I'm cheap, so I don't want to spend $800+ for a set. I just want to get my snow tires off. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A in 245/55/18 are darn cheap. I can have a set installed for $450.

Are there any issues with running this same size all the way around? I've got a 300A so I don't have to worry about traction control. Are there any fitment issues with the front? Rubbing or anything?

245/55/18s qill work on all 4 corners without any rubbing/fitment issues, but IMO the BF Goodrich Radial T/A (or any BFG tire for that matter) is crap; I'd look at something else if I were you.

Are there any issues with running this same size all the way around? Other than it looking bad? No.

I saw some pics in this forum from a guy that did it last summer. It didn't really look bad - but I think losing the natural rake did detract from the standard look a bit. I could raise the rear a little more to get the rake back, but that could also start looking silly.

It will look like a truck, IMO the OE rear tires are too tall and too narrow for this vehicle.

I actually prefer the stock BFGs, but I still agree that the Radial T/As are garbage. Now if you want it to handle like a 78 Coupe DeVille, then have at it haas. You get what you pay for.

I respectfully disagree, I love the BFG's and have them on both of my vehicles. BFG is owned by Michelin by the way.....

I've had snow tires on it since the fall of 2008, so any tire is going to be better. I will hardly drive it this summer, I keep it as a spare car and just turn on the insurance if one of my daily drivers needs maintenance (or I let my kid borrow it if his car breaks down). I'm just tired of looking at the steelies with snowtires, and want to put the factory rims back on, without spending a lot of money. Whatever tires I buy will probably only get 1000 miles on them or less this summer, and then the snows will go back on. So I'm not really worried about treadwear life either.

Don't forget to re-aim the headlights if you change the rake of the car. I did that when I put on my winter tires (same size all the way around) and again a couple of weeks ago when I put the summer/stock tires/wheels.

Go ahead and put 255/55/18 all way around, I did, love the look, fills up the wheel wells.

I was being a bit facetous. My issue is with the wear on the OEM rears. Actually, with carfixer's alignment, the front tires are great.

Now the radial T/A's on the other hand, are not a good choice for our cars.
