Hi Guys
Well I have been driving my Marauder around for a few months now and quite frankley the exhaust drone from the tailpipes is really starting to grate, so I was wondering would a single exhaust system form a Crown Victoria be a simple plug & play fit or would I need some other modifications?

Why not just go with different (quieter) mufflers?
Is this an April Fools prank? Why would you downgrade dual exhaust to single?

There are ways around the drone without DRASTIC measures....you DO NOT want a single exhaust!!! :shake: :help:
OEM systems had ZERO DRONE.......FlowMasters demonstrate tons of DRONE!!!:cool4:

Going back to single would be just stupid. Plus then, you'll have an empty bumper cutout. Hang around here and buy a stock exhaust when it comes up for sale, or take it to a muffler/exhaust shop. Or buy a pair of earplugs.

Hi Guys
Is this an April Fools prank?
;)
Just incase you are wondering the noise from a stock exhaust with the engine at 4200rpm is 86db which incedently is exactly the same as my Excursion at 3000rpm.

Hi MarauderJack
About the single exhaust conversion - yep! :D
About the stock exhaust sound level - nope!
I have to have a noise test as part of the inspection to be able to registar my Marauder here in the U.K and that was the result, in fact if you want the full details the left exhaust was 85.5db and the right was 86db.

That seems a bit ruff if you ask me.
Ya I can understand about the emissions stuff like California is so strick about but it isn't like ours are that loud unless you get on it!
I would figure if your stock exhaust wise they would not question it or bother.

Put a CAI on there, that way it will be louder, but at the other end of the vehicle!
Doh! I fell for it , dammit

WOW a noise check to pass inspection
Hi LeoVampire
The noise check is only to registar cars less than ten years old after you are registared there are no more noise checks and you can do whatever you like.

Hi CBT
I have no idea, Al (Megaforcer) fitted the OEM air box before I took delivery of the car, what he did with it I do not know, maybe he still has it.
